Stayed 3 midweek nights in September. I didn't personally book my room but paid on arrival and must admit I was quite taken aback at the price being so expensive. …

This hotel is in a great spot not far from the station and close to lots of sights. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were all so friendly from check in until check out. The breakfast which had hadn’t prebooked was excellent there was such a lot of choice and it was all really nice. There were small bags for you to take some pastries with you. We were able to leave our bag so we could expire the city without carrying everything with us. Would stay here again very happy with the hotel staff and we had a great nights sleep.

Just had a 3 night stay here and honestly, it's probably the best hotel I've ever stayed in.It's relatively cheap especially when you consider you're in a capital city. Staff were all great, food was good especially the breakfast. Location is brilliant. Literally nothing negative to say about it.

Great location which is the major plus of this hotel. Walking distance to most major attractions. Reasonable pricing compared to some of the other very pricey Edinburgh hotels. Train station very close. Was quiet also which was great after needing a relax after landing.

Great location, we could walk to everything. We were able to able to check in early and drop our bags off. Lots of restaurants on Rose Street within a 5-10 minute walk.  …

Not sure what the standards of cleaning in this place is but my bins were not emptied and water bottles were left on the floor, towels not changed, bed not made and water bottles still on the floor. I informed reception and got a sarcastic remark from reception of “what kind of cleaning is asked for”. Apparently, their “ records” showed that my room has been “cleaned”. She then asked who and when I asked to clean my room. Very rude reception lady.

We booked this premier inn for the Eras Tour so it was a lot pricier than it would be otherwise, but that was entirely expected. The check in and bag storage was very well organised, and staff were very helpful and kind. They even let guests who hadn't checked in yet go back and grab things from their stored bags without a fuss- not something everywhere does.Check in process was easy and our room was as expected. When my friend had a reaction to the towels and sheets (very sensitive skin) we told the staff and they provided new towels, sheets and bedding for us. This was so unexpected and very much appreciated.I had a continental breakfast in the morning and it was delicious as always. Plenty to choose from and tasty options. The location of this hotel is great, very much in the centre of the new town. Very close to the train station, shopping and popular food spots.

DON'T GO THERE......our 55th wedding anniversary ruined by Premier Inn!! Not the room we booked (asked for two single beds) but a room with double and lumpy bumby couch. …

Pros: : Third time I have stayed at this hotel. It is usually very good and of the general high standard I see in Premier Inns. The food is good quality and the rooms are quiet and comfortable.Cons: During my latest trip I had a number of disappointments. There was no shampoo/shower gel, the ladies toilets in reception had no toilet roll in any of the cubicles at breakfast time, I tried to go for dinner in the restaurant but despite there only being 3 tables used I was told to return later. Nobody mans the reception so it's difficult to speak to speak to staff. Small issues but when they add up can become quite frustrating.
