We loved this hotel and restaurant. We stayed here while we were on a five day tour of Scotland. Our room overlooked the harbor and we left our window open all night and it was so quiet. There is a large hill to get to the hotel. …

The food here was delicious - dinner & breakfast both great with lovely staff. But you must book dinner in advance. Otherwise the hotel does not meet expectations, particularly given the price. …

Location couldn't have been more perfect, right on the harbour an d next to all sorts of great restaurants. We had dinner in the hotel itself, which was very good; breakfasts were superb. Our room was cosy, comfortable, and quiet. And Dream, the front-desk lady, was super-helpful in telling us where we could park our motorbikes safely. Would definitely stay here again!

No real complaints about the room which although being at street level, nevertheless gave us a good view over the harbour. ||Trying to find the toilet in the bar/restaurant is like finding one at Wetherspoons whilst wearing a blindfold. …

My husband and I came here as part of our honeymoon. The staff is super friendly, rooms are really nice and the view is stunning. It’s in a great location in town and the restaurant in the hotel is honestly top tier. We dined for breakfast (included) and dinner several times and all of the food I was delicious.

How this place is a three-star hotel is a mystery. Our room smells musty and a bit like wet dog. The toilet barely flushes. I get that. It's old but they could do better. They advertise that you can get breakfast with your room yet they don't have tables available. When we checked in we were given one time frame to eat and that was it. Our party was not even able to eat at the same time but an hour apart. We asked for a different time on our second night and we were told no. Parking is a nightmare. However, the view is stunning. It's the only thing that makes up for the mess that is this hotel.

Quite disappointing. The old building is a bit of a rabbit warren with lots of stairs and narrow corridors. These and our room were badly in need of redecoration and also of some repair - there was a door hanging off.  …

Lovely little hotel right on the water with views and near to the bus station, shops and restaurants. The rooms are great and it’s very quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. And the breakfast is great - try the porridge. There is a Co-op supermarket very near as well.

Do not stay here - management doesn’t care !||Let me premise this review with just how many hotel nights I spend a year - over 100 average for the last 15 years and this is one of the worst I’ve stayed at …..but with lovely restaurant …
