Had an excellent stay at the hotel. We were greeted with a welcome and dealt with professionally and efficiently. It was a cold evening and we had been walking for 10 hours non stop so it was lovely to get into the warmth. …

Perfectly located in central Inverness, nearby the train station and the river. Lots of restaurants nearby, and close to the famous Leakey's Bookshop. Very comfortable and well equipped rooms. Lovely restaurant for breakfast with a good choice from the buffet. Very friendly and helpful staff. Felt we got very good value for money for our stay.

Nicely located. More of a business hotel. The rooms are fairly decent. The service is overall very good. Nice breakfast buffet. It is located on a busy street with no onsite parking available. Moreover, there is no place to unload your bags and it gets very challenging to find street parking. So, no recommended if you are driving.

Good location, central and perfect for exploring Inverness. Reception staff was nice and friendly, check in was smooth. The hotel does not have parking, but the closest public parking is close and convenient. The breakfast was rather minimal, mostly english breakfast options and some vegetarian. Our room was ok, spacious and had a comfortable bed but we had an accessible bathroom without requesting one and that was not comfortable to use: had a tiny sink at a low level. Overall, I do not believe this hotel is was worth the money.

Absolutely terrible. Elevator was filthy. Hall carpet was badly stained with litter. Room had badly stained carpet and threadbare towels that smelled. Desk stair was stained directly in the middle. We found a large dead bug in the floor. Ironing board and iron were trapped in closet blocked by refrigerator so couldn't be used. No common area on ground floor unless you count the bar. This is just the start of the list. The good? Excellent aircon. At best this is a 2 star property however I paid for a 4 star

Unless you are using rewards or points to stay here, I'd stay somewhere else. It was a nice room but noisy & not well insulated. …

Staying for 4 nights and already have complaints after night 1.Breakfast is a terrible, chaotic mess. At check-in we were told breakfast is from 7-10am and we need to confirm a time the night before because there is limited space. Okay, that's fine. We asked for 2 at 7:30 and 2 at 8. We were told neither time was available. Why not start with what times are left instead of just saying 7-10am?! We were being picked up the next morning at 9 so we needed to be ready before then. The man at reception then backtracked and said he could fit 2 at 7:30 and offered 8:30 to the other 2 in our party, which they took. It did not seem like they took times at intervals smaller than 30 minutes. When I did arrive the next morning for my 7:30 breakfast, there were several open tables. You must check in with a man who asks for your room number and seats you, which is standard, except this man was incredibly stressed and rude and it affected guests' experiences. He yelled at several other guests, including solo older women, for coming to breakfast/taking food/sitting down too early. I also heard him absolutely hound a man for his room number and more info when he was just trying to join the rest of his party that was already seated. I heard this same staff member curse very colorfully under his breath as well. I completely understand that work can be stressful but his stress was affecting every guest he interacted with negatively. Breakfast foods were also not promptly refilled (eggs, coffee creamer). It might be an understaffing problem. I think we'll try to go elsewhere for breakfast or pick up some groceries for the rest of our mornings.Besides breakfast, one of our rooms briefly lost power the first evening. It was back by the time we returned from dinner. As others have mentioned the light system is confusing. There is one main switch to turn all the lights on, and once that is one the switches for individual lights will work. We messed with it ahead of bedtime so it wasn't an issue in the middle of the night. Bed is comfy. The room is a bit small/cramped but it's not the end of the world. Bathroom is a good size and seems clean, although the toilet seat is a little crooked. The hotel itself is in a very central location. The floorplans are quite confusing and some of the doors seem unnecessary—makes it difficult to navigate with suitcases especially if you're a solo traveler.
