As part of a group of nine golfers we booked a weekend golf package through Paula at the Priory Hotel. Everything was perfect, the hotel, the staff, the golf, the food, even the weather! …

Was on holiday in the local area with my 2 sons who are 9 and 11. As recommended by others we went to the priory for Sunday lunch . We had the Sunday roast carvery. We were not disappointed. Service was excellent and staff were so friendly and welcoming food was first class. Locals who use place regularly also very friendly. Definitely be back when in area again.

Very good location in the centre of the village, parking at the front of the hotel. The food was very good, and great selection of local beers. The rooms are clean and tidy and need a bit of upgrade. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Steak Pie and the Seafood platter were both excellent. Attentive, cheery and very friendly service from all the staff. We didn't have a booking but they fitted us in despite being pretty busy. We will definitely return when in the area again.

This was what we were looking for. Quaint and quiet. The staff were very friendly answering all of our questions. The room was clean. The beds are firm I prefer something softer. I wouldn't let that keep me from staying there. The window opens to let in fresh cool air and fan provided. No AC (very common here). Your stay comes with breakfast. They also serve dinner. We ate there for two of our 3 nights there. We wish we had more time in that area. If you want to stay outside of the city consider staying here. There is a bus stop right in front of the hotel or you can catch a train about a 15 minute walk.

Fawlty towers vibe. ||First of all the staff are great and so lovely and no complaints at all. |Secondly staying in my single room (13/14) was rubbish. Bed is hard and old and uncomfortable. …
