Simple hotel, clean and convenient with an excellent dining restaurant. We had a room overlooking the bay - comfortable, no frills. We had an early start ((6am) for the ferry and the hotel had laid on a selection of yogurts and juices which was more than adequate. Recommend the dining experience.

We were underwhelmed by this place. Arriving early for our table, we were directed to the public bar, even though tables in the restaurant area were empty, and remained so.  …

Friendly, helpful staff who went out of their way to help when we had problems with our TV. Comfortable room and good pub food. The dining room was lovely and cosy with the fire lit. Fabulous view from the front windows of the castle and the bay. Thoroughly recommend.

Great venue, bar, food, service and accommodation. Super location in Castle Bay and a adjacent to the ferry port… A gem of a place to get out of the weather, with a popular public bar to sit back and take in the day and write up those …

Had to book extra nights accommodation due to ferry cancellations and Craigard Hotel was a real life saver for our party of 4. Exceptional evening meal there, and superb staff, especially Francis and the young lady who looked after us in the restaurant (sorry can't remember your name). View to die for, room a bit small but pretty, clean, and sufficiently equipped. We had an annex room accessed via outside rather than through the hotel - chairs available to sit outside and soak in the view which was lovely, just a shame it was a flying visit with a very early ferry the next morning. There was quite a bit of partying noise late at night, but that's out of anyone's control. On our return list for when we go back to Barra.
