Returned to The Craiglynne for 2 nights last week, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay - as we have previously. Large, comfortable bedroom. Great selection of food at breakfast, and our dinner was delicious. …

It is an old hotel but I liked the atmosphere. My kids just wanted AC and more "modern" features. There was a misunderstanding about our room reservations but Lauren got us all rearranged so the boys didn't have to share a bed. I'm very grateful to her so I didn't have to hear whining from them ❤ The breakfast was fabulous. All of us really enjoyed the yogurt that you added fruit to.

Stayed in Room 206. Room was nothing like the pictures of the room on the website. Bed was horrible to sleep on. Shower, if you can call it that was a power shower with no power what so ever, would have been better washing in the sink. …

Our room (#56) was excellent for the price, hence the 5* rating. The furniture and bathroom were modern and everything functional. The beds were comfortable. The main, accessible power sockets had fast charging USB ports. Plenty of hot water in the walk-in shower, enough shampoo with good towels. The breakfast was good, not great. The choice was limited and not of high quality, but it was perfectly acceptable given the whole package.Parking was straightforward in the hotel grounds, first come first served. It wasn't busy the night we stayed. Two coach loads are due tomorrow though! The staff were friendly and helpful.Value 5*. Would stay again.

I used a Red letter Day voucher, which 'highlighted' the hotel for the area we wanted to go to....and the pictures on the website looked promising...Once we got there ..oh dear, how disappointing. Our voucher was for DBB room rate was £90pn our voucher was worth £120.The room was poky and dated with a sliding door to the cupboard that was the en-suite shower 'room'. Floor was extremely creaky, and I pity the occupants of the room below if there was one.Highlights - dinner and the staffLows - shower door broken, heehaw toilet roll and no spare. Squeaky floor. Uncomfortable bedWe didn't stay for breakfast... left nice and early the next day.Should have read the reviews properly before visiting.Sorry, Craiglynne..not so much Bespoke as Banal. The 2 stars are for your staff and the meal.

This location has a quaint feeling to it. A cozy bar and reception. We stayed in room 245 and this is what we found. …

To say I was disappointed in this hotel was an understatement. The bedroom was a disgrace with grubby walls, sockets, radiators and window sill. The shower could have been doing with a good scrub and grouting. …

The Good..|Our room (107) was a good size, view over the front, bed comfy, considering our vicinity to the landing / stairs we slept very well indeed ( more so having got zero sleep at the Britannia Aviemore Colyumbridge Hotel) |Reception …

Good location with a nice view however squeaky floor outside room 110 was very noisy especially as people went to breakfast early at 6:30am. The room upstairs and toilet next door were also noisy. The room was also a little outdated but not a huge issue. Shower had little pressure but was hot. Room was not cleaned and no room sign not sure if they normally do but no change in towel and bin was full.Breakfast was okay but quite an early finish and didn’t realise fried eggs were available on request until the second day. Would be good to put a sign for this at the buffet. Sometimes there was croissants and danish and sometimes not. A later start so people aren’t walking past rooms so early and finish would have been preferred.Positives - location, outside space and outside appearanceNegatives - minimal sleep and disappointed in rooms and room did not have bin emptied / fresh towels during the 3 days

The outside of the hotel looks beautiful along with the grounds. It is close to town so if going to the co-op quick was very easy to get too. However, this place needs some updating. When we got there we thought what quaint room, but there is no air control in the rooms at all. It was very warm in our room.on the second floor enough where we had trouble sleeping. We had windows open both nights we were there, but there are no screens on the windows so we were constantly fighting flies and mosquitos. We did go down and ask for a fan, but was more of a dehumidifier so it didnt really make a difference. The food in the resturant was mediocre, not very impressive. If this hotel did some updating I would give it a second chance next time we come back to Scotland.
