My sister and I stayed for one night but wished we stayed longer! Very cosy vibe, accessible by bus. Close to Portree and hikes in the area. Room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Close to the main road, but just a few meters off, so the sound of the traffic was quite quiet.

Myself and my family stayed in the private lodge neighbouring the hostel which is also run by Skye Basecamp. Booked last minute and felt very lucky to have landed this reservation- it is in a lovely spot and very well run. The cottage is well kept and comfortable, very clean throughout! Directions for the cottage were very clear (location, check in and information required while staying in the cottage). Lots of amenities and food options nearby, we had two lovely visits to Deli Gusta a few minutes walk away. I had a brief but lovely interaction with Catriona before checking in! I would recommend this stay to others

I stayed for a full week at Skye Basecamp hostel and would come back any time. The hostel is incredibly clean, has an amazing atmosphere, and is located very convenient close to shops. During my stay at Skye I used it as a basecamp to explore the whole island. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. When I wanted to do a Munro and needed advice they were very happy to help. I enjoyed my stay and will miss the place. I will definitely be back.

Stayed for a few nights in late September. Great hostel: comfortable beds; clean throughout; large very well-equipped kitchen with lots of cupboard, fridge and freezer space; lounge and garden areas to relax in; drying facility; friendly staff. Would definitely stay there again!

The host (and their staff) is amazing and they like to take extra care of their guests. It’s a very convenient stop near most attractions of Isle of Skye. The views from the hostel and the surroundings are surreal. The kitchen is large and allows guests to cook whatever they prefer. Definitely recommended!!

What a tine we had at the basecamp. A Lovely warm relaxing atmosphere met us and the rooms were spotless. The kitchen was very well equipped and well laid out. The staff were extremely helpful and the whole experience was just wonderful. I would go back anytime and I am 70 years old

We didn't know what to expect and have been positively surprised. We stayed a few days in the guesthouse, which was a great experience. Kitchen, bathroom, big living room, everything you need for 4 persons.
