Liked: The site was well laid out with good spacing between pitches and the facilities were excellent. The surrounding countryside is gently rolling farmland and we had two elderly ponies next to our pitch!  …

Camera stopped working after I took this 1 photo, sorry…so the camp site, what’s it really like after reading other peoples reviews.I read that you had to pay for the showers, well this is not true, maybe you did years ago, but not anymore.the bathroom facilities are brilliant, very very clean, ample room for plenty of people camping to use, 3 toilets, 2 urinals, 3 showers 2 hand basins, all very clean, the floors walls & ceilings were clean, the shower doors and the silicon do have water marks, I’ve seen this before where there’s hard water, if that’s the case your never going to be able to clean this off with bleach, nothing you can do about that, I’m sure these will be replaced in time, perfectly usable and safe and hygienic. The showers had room to get washed with very hot water & a place separately to hang your clothes and get dried comfortably. The camping areas are huge. We are so used to hearing the person camping next to you snore, but not this place…very well spaced out between pitches & each pitch that I could see that had electric like us also had its own water supply. The grass was well cut, and firm.there’s a separate area to wash your dishes out side under a canopy next to the bathrooms.I honestly think this place works really hard to make this work so well, fortunately there’s no children running around screaming so this was an added bonus.Highly recommend this camp site, we have stayed all over the country and this is the first time I’ve bothered to write a honest review on a campsite, this really does deserve 5 stars, the views are wonderful, the place is clean, we will definitely be camping here again & so will you if your lucky enough to camp here. Well done to all the staff who keep this place running.

Great holiday at this campsite. We rested, relaxed. Despite the large number of campers and tents it was not crowded. Toilets and showers clean and warm. David and his wife are very nice and helpful people. On Thursdays at 3.45 a van arrives with fish, they are very fresh and inexpensive, there was a fish feast. No one enters the campsite without the code for the barrier, we felt safe because David sees everything. Nearby there are shops, as well as a farm shop where you can pick fruit, eat delicious food and drink coffee, eat delicious ice cream from fruit pulp. I highly recommend this campsite.
