It sounds very good on paper, but in reality it's a bit underwhelming. The room was clean, but had old interior, no wall outlet next to the bed and no proper place to work. It's also quite cold and the thermostat on the radiator was so old it didn't have labels anymore. I needed to experiment a bit to turn up the heat, but even with that it wasn't very cozy. You also hear quite a lot of what is going on in the hallway and adjacent rooms. There was a bath tub and plenty hot water, which was great. Breakfast is ok, there is quite a bit of selection and plenty of everything, but nothing stands out particularly. The staff are friendly, but generally a bit slow with everything. Some items on the menu are simply not available, and the staff doesn't know all the items, so you might get served wrong things. The surrounding area is really gorgeous, green and relatively quiet. Great for a stroll and some exploring.

Nice hotel (it's an 3 century old farm restored), big room with large balcony, nice bathroom with bath and shower - warm water, coffee and tea in the room, good beds.At the reception, people could be more courtesy. The breakfast is too expensive.

The location and the hotel is stunning.BUTTerrible customer service.I paid more than the agreed price, and nobody would help me.I used Bookng.com for this reservation and realized that the total price I had agreed upon was 3 euros more,The receptionist at the hotel refused to help me (she also said she was the duty manager and that the person above her was, surprise surprise, on holiday). The customer 'service' agent I spoke to at Fletcher's helpdesk also refused to help me and hung up the phone. She also told me that her receptionist colleague had said I was rude and unfriendly - so they had obviously been in contact and had decided nobody would help me.I have never felt this unwelcome all the years I have stayed at Fletcher. Based on this experience I do not recommend them at all. Thinking in solutions (either reimbursing the 3 euros or offering a free drink for the inconvenience) is something that can be improve,

Nice hotel with large room. We even got another floor connected by stairs. The interior is a bit dated but gives you a castle like vibe. The hotel isn’t in the castle but on the other side of the road. The restaurant for diner is in the castle. Breakfast is served in the hotel. The breakfast was nice and friendly service.

Restaurant Erenstein is in the castle, but Hotel Erenstein (Hotel Brughof) is in a farm at walking distance from the castle. The fact that these are two different buildings is not very clear from the website. The information is there, but hasty bookers are likely to miss it and think that they will sleep in a castle; if this happens, a disappointment is waiting...The castle still has its historical interior, the outside of the farm is also still rather historical. The hotel facilities inside were made in the seventies/eigthties and there are only little details of the historical interior left. After several decades the hotel rooms look outdated and a bit worn out. There is heating, but no airconditioning. Sanitary facilities are perfect and up to date, though. The hotel and the restaurant are situated in a beautiful natural environment, woods, fields, and not to forget the well-maintained castle garden. The restaurant served us a culinary risotto, and the historical ambiance of the dining room (some paint here and there could do no harm) contributed to the total experience. The prices of the hotel and the restaurant are reasonable. In summary, and in spite of the criticisms: if you appreciate a characteristic site like this (we do) it merits a four-star rating.

Clean but dated hotel room. The room was large with two separate but open sleeping area. Modern coffee machine, chair and couch andupdated bathroom. Did have an odd experience of hearing someone pounding on the front door of hotel at about 2 am for a while.Parking is on a slope that is covered in rocks. This can be difficult for some to walk on especially at night because the parking area is not well lit.

A Historic Adventure at Fletcher Hotel Restaurant ErensteinDespite stepping into the Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Erenstein with a possibly broken toe (we'll find out tomorrow!), our spirits were high.I was swiftly aided by the compassionate reception staff who supplied me with ice and painkillers. Such a warm welcome set a positive tone for our stay. After all, how could one resist the charm of this establishment that has been standing proud since the 14th century?Situated a brief 5-minute walk away from the castle, just enough time to pretend you're on a royal procession through your kingdom. The rooms offer an amiable atmosphere with upgrades available for a price that doesn’t require you to plunder a treasure trove. Yes, there is carpet – it lends a certain kind of atmosphere, although it has held onto its history perhaps a tad too passionately, retaining a not-so-fresh odor. The rooms had a comforting bed and bathtub. During our stay, we found delight in the simple joys of mulberry picking in the rich trails nearby, a sweet addition to our adventure.Dinner time saw us navigating the historic grounds up the stairs to the smaller dining room on the right, a choice that traded views and more space for a more intimate, let's just say cramped, setting. Here, amidst the company of a replica plated armor standing guard, we shared space with a presumed father-son duo. The younger of whom couldn't help but cast admiring glances at my girlfriend, somewhat more interested in her than his own dessert, adding an uncomfortable yet somewhat amusing chapter to our dining tale. The restaurant in the castle — a structure with roots dating back to the year 1331 — still brought a touch of romance and antiquity to our dinner. The food was decent, albeit not the centerpiece of the experience, with the staff putting up a heartwarming performance of professionalism and friendliness that somewhat made up for the culinary aspect.A word of advice for potential visitors — late reservations (8:20pm call on a Friday) might lead to a main-course-only affair, albeit delivered with utmost courtesy and a smile. For those contemplating a visit, bear in mind that the Netherlands’ regulations on monumental buildings mean that modern conveniences such as air conditioning are off the table, preserving the authenticity of historic sites like the Erenstein. It’s a warm embrace from history, both figuratively and literally. The true hero of our adventure was the great outdoors, with the nearby reservoir home to a theater of swans, ducks, and a choir of other birds, harmonizing with a diverse range of flora to offer a picturesque setting for a walk (preferably with a healthy toe).Conclusively, the Fletcher Hotel Restaurant Erenstein offered more than just a stay; it was an adventure woven with historic threads and dotted with sweet mulberries. It is a gem that goes beyond a rating, promising an experience rich with stories waiting to be discovered.

Very nice location at the hedge of the city, nearby the walking trails and the zoo. Historical building, large rooms (although time for refurbishment...), good bathroom, parking lot, good breakfast buffet, nice bar, very friendly staff.

The hotel is not inside the castle, but it is at the other end of the road. Rooms are clean, but outdated and come with a bit of a stale smell. This has probably to do with the lack of proper ventilation or AC. Personnel is quite friendly and rooms are equipped with a Nespresso machine.

We arrived late, parking no problem. Easy friendly check in. Nice spacy rooms, excellent beds. In the morning we walked over to the castle Erenstein. Winter, but still tranquil gardens. Thanks
