We booked a last minute stay in St Andrews and found this little gem. From the friendly greeting on arrival to the large, clean room we absolutely loved our stay. …

Lovely restaurant, lovely menu well cooked tasty food! Very expensive and we waited ages to have our food brought to us! We had to ask several times if our main meals we're ready, we had our small grandson with us who had gotten his main meal when we had our starters so he was getting bored! After the waitress brought our mains all she said was sorry for your 'small wait' our table was booked for 6pm and our mains were not served until well after 7.15 so no I would not class this as a 'small wait' thankyou

My group stayed here for a week and had an amazing experience. We had just about everything on the menu from the sea bass to burgers to wings to lamb. All excellent! You feel like you’re coming home here. Everybody is so nice, professional and completely catered to your needs. The restaurant has two main dining rooms, a smaller intimate area in the back, a bar high table area and a basement dining room. The location has a bonus outdoor patio that is very popular. If we were able to give it 6 or 7 stars we would….

The employees were so friendly and helpful when storing bags before we could check in, as well as during breakfast, and helped us get a cab for the way home.  …

Stayed at The Saint whilst visiting DD who is at the University. The room was lovely, beautifully decorated, not the biggest but really comfortable and the bathroom was spacious and toasty warm. The staff are really lovely, couldn’t do enough for you, really made our stay special. Breakfast superb and in the lovely dining room.

Dog friendly bar/restaurant in St Andrews. Not cheap but nothing is in this Uni town. Decent food - I had the chipotle lime corn ribs starter which was ok but not wowzer followed by rump of lamb - again ok not amazing. My wife had the steak pie and chips which made me very jealous - it was superb ( I was informed ). Very plelasant staff and good atmosphere. Beer looked good but I was designated driver - sob!!

Called here for Sunday lunch with friends and enjoyed the slightly unusual atmosphere with nooks and crannies everywhere and several different rooms. The service was prompt and efficient and the menu offered a wide (though not extensive) range of options. The food was good although my main course was warm rather than hot. The location at the west end of South Street is central but only really accessible on foot with limited parking some way off. I liked the feel of the place, but I'm not sure that I would choose to make it a regular haunt.

My wife and I did not stay here, but we did eat here several times while staying in St Andrews. The menu has many choices with Table service, and the staff are friendly and seem to have a lot of local Knowledge about places to visit in the area. The pub also has a large garden. They do get very busy on a Saturday evening, so its advisable to book in advance if you want to visit on a Saturday evening. I would recommend this Pub.
