We can only repeat what others have said! Honestly, one of the nicest places we’ve stayed at. As regular holiday goers, we have stayed in many self-catering properties over the years and the Old Barn Cottage is certainly one of the best. Stunning property situated in the countryside with beautiful views. The cottage is super clean and extremely well equipped, I doubt you’ll find a better place to stay. John & Anne are excellent hosts and make you feel very welcome from the minute you arrive and extremely helpful. We can’t wait to go back again next year.Roy & Irene.

We have been coming to the Old Barn Cottage each year for more years than we care to remember and each time it feels as if we have come to a completely refurbished house because it is so clean and everything looks brand new. We have come in all seasons and it never fails to be warm and cosy; of course the warm welcome from Anne and John always helps! We have stayed in many self-catering cottages but this is by far the very best. The area is excellent for holidays too with much to explore along the coast and inland and there are some really good places to eat. We shall be back next year, of course.

Our sixth stay in The Old Barn Cottage and once again we found a clean and well equipped cottage with lovely fresh flowers and friendly welcome from hosts John and Anne. We chose this time of year because we particularly wanted to see the snowdrops at nearby Cambo Gardens, which were absolutely superb and well worth visiting.

So glad we found this charming cottage overlooking the Forth. The owners have taken a lot of trouble to create a comfortable and stylish holiday cottage in a lovely location overlooking fields and a view of the Forth. Lots of nice touches like the decor in each room, fresh flowers and a welcome tray and milk in the fridge. Great base for exploring the area. Thank you John and Anne for providing this excellent holiday rental.

What a Gem!!!! This house is immaculate and so well equipped. It’s ideally situated between St Andrews and Anstruther, it makes it the perfect base for exploring and golf. John and Anne are perfect hosts making us feel so at ease from the minute we arrived. Don’t think we’ve been in such a relaxed environment for a long time!

Just returned from a week's stay at this cottage and I can't fault it; absolutely lovely. It has everything you could possible want, and in such a lovely area.We like walking and did part of the Fife Coastal Path, as well as the East and West Lomand hills, which are just 20 mls. away. We also took the boat trip from Anstruther to the Isle of May, where we were lucky enough to see the puffins (they're running a couple of weeks late this year) as well as seals and the other sea birds. We're not golfers, but anyone who is would be spoilt for choice with so many courses within easy reach, and this includes St. Andrews, which is only about 20 mins. away.On top of all this, our hosts, John and Anne were really friendly and welcoming. All in all, I have no hesitation in heartily recommending this cottage.
