Fantastic experience, decor beautiful, all of the team lovely and attentive. Food was all incredible, a lovely treat. ||The restaurant was busy considering it was a Thursday, this didn’t result in slow service, waiting staff very good at recognising the pace you are eating at, never felt rushed. Look forward to returning.

Sad to report despite Mr & Mrs Smeddle's best intention and hard work nothing about our stay was quite at the level we hoped for.|Poor reception, no slippers, no turn down, very slow fill bath with no safety handles. …

I used to live 5 minutes away from The Peat Inn, so this is very much a posthumous rating - Google Reviews were not around in those days - in honour of the late and great David Wilson, with whom I spent many after dinner hours with him drinking only the finest of whatever was available.I hear the standards have been maintained.

We went to visit St. Andrews for the golf and celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. I will say you will spend some money however I will also say the entire experience and the food was beyond worth it. The pre drink service was so warm and professional. The staff spoiled us with attentiveness and great cocktails and wine. When our table was ready we were escorted to our table and had the by far the best food experience we have ever had. Each course was beautifully prepared and so delicious. You have choices on your courses with every course well thought out and prepared. If you go to St. Andrews it is a must go! Thank you greatly to the Chef and staff.

The Peat Inn, nestled in the picturesque countryside of Fife, is a true gem for those seeking a luxurious and gastronomic experience. This establishment seamlessly combines modern comfort and sophistication. Our stay in one of their exquisite split level suite was nothing short of exceptional. The tastefully decorated suite radiated elegance and provided all the necessary amenities for a relaxing and indulgent experience. The attention to detail in every aspect of the room was impressive, from the plush bedding to the opulent bathroom fixtures.A major highlight of my stay was the delectable evening meal. The Peat Inn's Michelin-starred restaurant serves up culinary masterpieces that tantalize the taste buds and leave you craving for more. Each dish on the seasonal menu was beautifully presented and featured fresh, locally-sourced ingredients, showcasing the region's rich produce. The knowledgeable staff provided impeccable service and were always ready to offer insightful wine pairing recommendations to complement the exquisite flavors. The breakfast was equally delightful, served in the comfort of my room. A lavish spread of fresh fruit, pastries, and artisanal jams accompanied by freshly brewed coffee and tea made for a delightful start to the day. The only minor disappointment was that the boiled eggs could only be ordered soft-boiled. However, this was a small blemish on an otherwise flawless dining experience.Another noteworthy feature was the stunning garden view from the bedroom. The meticulously landscaped garden, adorned with vibrant flowers and lush greenery, added an extra touch of charm to the already picturesque setting. However, it is worth mentioning that the room lacked privacy, as the large windows allowed people in the garden to see into the bedroom, unless the curtains were drawn. In conclusion, I highly recommend a stay at The Peat Inn for those seeking luxury accommodation and an unforgettable dining experience. This Fife treasure has mastered the art of combining refined elegance with warm hospitality, making it a truly memorable destination.
