The Dakota is a top hotel, tastefully decorated with excellent staff who are always happy to assist. The food is also exceptional and the location has good transport links along with being a short walk to south queensferry village. I would thoroughly recommend this competitively priced hotel.

The staff and the hotel were great. There was a dark atmosphere, plenty of people so it never felt empty, but not too many to feel over crowded. The restaurant and staff are fantastic, the room was great. The location is great, as long as you know that it is out of the way. If you are visiting Edinburgh from abroad, although the hotel and restaurant is great I would probably recommend somewhere closer to Edinburgh center but for a night or two away or business it is perfect.

This hotel gave me immediate super villain lair vibes but I was blown away by the experience. It’s very fancy and nice and the rooms were so clean and perfect, bed was REALLY comfortable and given water, tea, coffee every day. Food expensive but wasn’t here for the food. Can tell it’s aimed at business people and not holiday makers.

We were departing for home early the next morning and decided to stay out of the city center. We booked this hotel because of its location, positive reviews, and price. We were very impressed by the quality of this hotel. It felt very new and cared for. The staff were super helpful and pleasant. The room itself was very clean and comfortable. The bed was very comfy and we had enough room to pack our bags for our flight. There is a Tesco next door which is very convenient and we picked up a couple of items for our flight the next day. Sleep was dreamy and check out was a breeze. Highly recommend. High value for money. (The restaurant and bar area looked very busy but we were not able to visit.)
