My husband and I stayed at the Stay Bed and Breakfast the end of September 2024 for 3 nights. We loved the location ,the breakfasts were delicious and. Elaine was a marvelous host . She made sure we were comfortable and even lit a fire in the parlor and chilled our wine for us one evening. I highly recommend this b&b and culross is a beautiful little village. Thank you Elaine . Hopefully we will be back someday!!

Stay is a beautiful B&B with friendly, gracious hosts, Elaine and Charlie, who go above and beyond to make sure their guests are comfortable and happy.  The beds are very comfortable and the breakfast is amazing. Much of the ingredients are fresh from Elaine's garden, and prepared that morning. For example, I enjoyed a different recipie for fruit compote in my yogurt every morning! It was delicious!Elaine and Charlie truly make you feel like family. When I got a cold the first day and had to rest in my room, they made me a care package of extra tea, coffee, snacks and an orange.Stay B&B represents the best of what a B&B should be, and I highly recommend it.

What an absolute treat it was to spend the night in this wonderful b&b. We were warmly welcomed by Charlie and Elaine who made our stay very special. The house is beautifully furnished and our bedroom was perfect with crisp white bed linen, fluffy towels and soft robes. The breakfast was delicious with home grown fruit, yoghurt and granola to start, followed by smoked salmon and avocado on toast with the most delicious cooked tomatoes. We appreciated all of the small details provided by Charlie and Elaine and we were made to feel very much at home throughout our stay. The house is next door to the amazing Culross Palace and a short walk to the Red Lion pub which serves lovely food. The village is a very special place to visit and being near to the Firth of Forth and the beautiful sound of curlews was an added bonus. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend a stay in this very special place.

my girlfriend and i spent two nights at elaine and charlie’s b&b and what can i say except wow!! this place is simply stunning. every single detail has been thought through with so much love, care and attention, right down to the little kilner jars of milk outside our bedroom door twice a day, the monogrammed tartan blankets in the lounge and the beautiful soap in the bathroom. the bed was wonderfully comfy and had two generously stuffed pillows, and dressing gowns on the back of the door. the room had tea and coffee-making facilities (including the aforementioned fresh milk - and a cafetière! no nescafé powder and uht pots to be found 😍)the breakfast was simply to die for - i could eat the granola and compote for the rest of my life. everything was fresh, even the orange juice, and beautifully presented.elaine and charlie were delightful - present and always happy to help (including booking us a table at the local pub for dinner, providing extra milk and even giving us a lift into dunfermline!)if you are looking to get out of edinburgh or just enjoy this beautiful little village for a night or two, i really can’t imagine a better place to stay than here. thank you!

We had a one night stay while at an event nearby. The room was lovely with all the nice touches that make a night in STAY more special. Nice teas and coffee, a bottle of water, little fudges by the bed and, at Elaine's insistence, no plastics or disposable anything. A nice touch.Breakfast was amazing! We were greeted by a bowl of yoghurt, fruits and granola with freshly squeezed orange juice. The full Scottish for me consisted of locally sourced sausage, bacon, black pudding and all ther trimmings. And home made tattle scone!!Veggie breakfast for my wife was North African dish with free range eggs (one of a couple of veggie options, which is a big plus for her) and locally made sourdough. This was by a distance the best breakfast we've ever had in a hotel or B&B. Coupled with Elaine and Charlie's welcome friendliness and hospitality, it all made this an excellent place to STAY.

Our time at Stay was one of the absolute highlights from our trip. The rooms were beautiful, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and Elaine and Charlie were wonderful and gracious hosts. We enjoyed the fresh flowers, drinking tea by the fire at night, exquisitely designed rooms, and the perfect location to explore charming Culross and Fife. Elaine even kindly showed us around her garden when we expressed interest. This was a truly special stay, and I know we will always remember it fondly.I hope someday we have another opportunity to return to Scotland and stay with Elaine and Charlie again. The experience is truly unmatched!
