Just left the restaurant. We have eaten there many times when we are in staying Anstruther and always been very happy. Not this time however. My husband had the fish and chips, well what you can call fish as there was very little of it. The peas were cold. My meal was the ciabatta which wasn’t to good either as the salad was unpleasant. The girls were absolutely smashing and brought my husband another very small portion of fish, but need to get rid of the chef as not doing a very good job. Shame on him. Very unlikely to go back which is sad as we’ve always enjoyed it.

What a great find! We had a super night here and could not fault it. The room was clean and comfortable though sad it didn't have a sea view. The bathroom was fabulous with a perfect bath and lovely towels. …

Our family got caught short after a long day out to have dinner. Popped in here for dinner and wasn't at all disappointed. Lovely meals and attentive staff. Reasonably priced and good atmosphere. Would recommend to others.

Situated between 2 heavyweights of Scottish gastronomy, the 2019 and 2024 winners of Scotland’s Best Fish and Chips, you would think that The Waterfront might try just a little bit harder.|To be honest the food was quite good. …

Request a room with a view, it is definitely worth it. Room D had amazing views and a very large room. Shower separate from the bath. It was two flights up. No lift in the Hotel. Plenty storage space in the room. Restaurant very pleasant and staff were all delightful.
