We booked 5 rooms for March 2025. We decided to drive to hotel to see location and overall look at rooms etc.We entered reception area. Rang bell We waited 15 minutes and still no one arrived. We phoned up 5 times each time no answer. Then gave it one more try. They answered the phone. We was informed that no one works on reception until 3pm. We asked could we see the rooms. They refused. We decided to walk around the hotel. Thank God we did. It smelt damp. Carpets were in disrepair. Mould on walls. It was absolutely disgusting. We phoned up again whilst at hotel to cancel the booking. They answered. But we was informed to phone back at 3pm to cancel.I phoned back at 3pm as requested. And cancelled the rooms. I asked for confirmation of cancellation, they said they would email me. 2 days later and no email. we cancelled months in advance.I will continue to contact the hotel. I want confirmation of cancellation. This isn't how a hotel should be run..UPDATEFinally got through.spoke to Jakie. She was so pleasant and extremely helpful. Well done. She needs a medal for working at a terrible hotel.

The hotel was very tired looking and gave me Faulty Towers vibes. It needs a thorough makeover and the gardens were very overgrown that you couldn’t even see out of downstairs windows. I had expected much better for the £110 room rate I paid. The room was ok standard but unfortunately I didn’t sleep very well as the room was boiling hot with no way of turning off the radiator which was pumping out the heat. I couldn’t even leave the window open as it was a ground floor room and someone could have easily climbed in. Won’t be staying here again!

Whilst the price for the room was low we felt it was still below our reasonable expectations, the rooms looked tired, there didn't appear to be a matrass protector on the bed which meant stains on the matrass were visible, the bed sheet itself had a stain that looked rather unpleasant, which gave the impression that it wasn't a clean one or it didn't come out with washing (which would logically mean not to use it) the water (shower) was very slow in warming to a reasonable temperature despite not many people using it at the time we were using the bathroom. (6:45am Sunday). The toiletroll holder was missing, the outside window didn't appear to properly lock, it would be very easy to access this from the outside despite it being 'locked'.I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay and was treated very nicely by the staff and that was the only thing i enjoyed about my stay lol. The thing I had a problem with was the fact that the toiletconsistently runs, meaning it's quite loud throughout the day and night. It was quite hard to sleep which was my main purpose for visiting... there was also panelling in the room that didn't really make any sensebecause it blocked the TV but I don't know if kind of liked the panelling in terms of looks but it's extremely impractical.

We were put in the added bit at the back. I'm sure this hotel was superb in it's time but it is now very tired & falling apart. The staff member on reception seemed uninterested& rushed through the whole process of check-in & that was just the start. There was no handrail up the stairs leading up to the room. In the room itself there was no wardrobe or coat hangers, only coat hooks on the door. The glass on the open window was covered in pigeon mess and it had even seeped onto the inside sill (near the feathers!). Also the toilet seat was broken as was the flush which took an eternity to empty. The shower was dodgy, there were stains on the walls, no hair dryer, no milk & no remote control to the tv ( which we reported to no avail). On the plus side the room had large windows, bizarrely had a microwave, was spacious & the bed & bedding were clean & comfortable. It is in a lovely neighbourhood with ample parking and about 3/4 of a mile from the nearest tram stop.

Old, neglected and sad appearing building. To bad. With a little TLC this hotel/building could be amazing. The room smells horrible, it's dated, the wallpaper is hanging loose, there are little bugs in the bathroom and the bed is old and way too hard, but it seems to be clean. The carpet is so stained that I don't even dare to imagine what kind of stains they are.For me this was a one time stay, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Very poor. I was staying in the building behind the house. Honestly, it needs pulling down.Smells of damp. Wall paper is coming off. It wasn't dirty, but felt dirty because the decor needs a complete overall.Won't be staying there again.

I wish I'd read the 1 star reviews before I booked for 3 nights. Like the others we were put in the doss house at the back of the hotel, which itself (the hotel) no longer looks like the photos.  …
