I stayed in this hotel for one week while attending a conference at the Manchester Convention Center (a separate venue from the hotel). I found the Pendulum Hotel satisfactory, but nothing more. I arrived early in the morning and the hotel was able to hold my suitcase while I explored Manchester before checking in, which I appreciated. The room was small, rather dim, and appeared dated. That was okay with me because the room felt clean, which is the most important aspect of a hotel room for me. Since there was no air conditioning, the room did get quite hot during the day even though it was cold and dark outside. I would not want to stay there during a heat wave. The hotel breakfast was tasty. I would have preferred larger cups to hold the coffee and smaller spoons. The spoons were enormous for some reason. The rooms also only had body wash and hand soap, no shampoo or conditioner, so I had to go out and buy my own. The safety lock was also broken off the inside of my door. I probably wouldn't stay here again, but I also don't have any intentions of returning to Manchester.

A special shout out to Sue and Issac who went above and beyond to ensure the team and delegates had a great experience. Thank you so much!

This is a comfortable hotel, well situated for transport, with an excellent breakfast. Our double room was large with a comfortable bed and not noisy. The poor design of the desk and especially the swivel chair, are minor criticisms. The WiFi was fast and easy to use, but unfortunately not connected to the TV, so only direct broadcast channels could be watched. The shower temperature was difficult to adjust, and the toilet flush had to be "pumped", but such minor design faults are unfortunately common in UK hotels. I would certainly stay here again.

Room was incredibly small and in dire need of refurbishing, and there was no lamp or reading light. After climbing to the third floor I was surprised to look out of the window and find the room was at ground floor level to a raised public walkway (see picture). This meant that I didn't want to leave the window open, it was a heatwave, and there was no air con. There was a door in the corridor outside my room that opened both ways and made a lot of noise swinging back and forth when anyone went through it.The en-suite was nice and the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast buffet was good, but the nearby Premier Inn has better rooms.
