Hotel is within walking distance of Piccadilly train station which was helpful. My first impression was I would not enjoy my stay there. …

I stayed at The Gardens Hotel Picadilly Manchesterbecause it was convenient for Piccadilly Station. I rang them beforehand to ask if I could leave my birthday cake in their refrigerator. The receptionist said Yes No problem. …

I was pleasantly surprised by the good quality of my room. It was very simple but contained everything I needed. There was a good shelf in the ensuite which I appreciated.  …

Staff where nice and location good. However the hotel is extremely dated, and did not feel safe. The room was small, dated, walls had cracks everywhere, everything looked very used and old. …

Stayed in an executive double room, which was clean, spacious and beautifully decorated. Considering we overlooked the gardens and the main route from the train station into town, there was very little noise. The bed was comfy. Even had a mini fridge. Very impressed would stay again.

Great central location. Room was spacious but older decor. Mike at check in was very polite and helpful. The big bearded ginger guy on the other hand was very rude. Tried to give attitude as I asked him what time the bar was open till...very quickly changed his tone when I gave him it him back.

The place smells so damp and like old urine. There are stains on the bedsheets that look like human waste. The carpets are vile, ripped up at the sides, stained and tatty. …

Absolutely could not fault the staff in this place. Tom on the main desk was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and comfortable. Brilliant location, close to lots of amenities and public transport. Downfall was that the room was very warm and lacked a fan.

I think the hotel is good value. But you do have to know what you are booking before you go. It is in PIccadilly Gardens which is a very noisy and busy (even a bit unruly) square in the middle of Manchester. …

Came here for a over the weekend trip, and it’s quite close to the Piccadilly station which is nice. But that’s the only real positive thing I can say about this place. The building is old and very poorly maintained (you can hear the squeaking of the wood anywhere you walk), the room are not well equipped either and poorly cleaned. The card key de-magnetized 5 times in 3 days, and the WiFi was awful too.I can’t honestly recommend it. Looks elsewhere.
