Staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was well decorated and comfy. Breakfast was delicious. Lovely shower. It is mostly shared facilities, but it just depends on how quick you are to the shower or toilet, but I didn't mind. There is also a sink in the hotel room. For there being a party downstairs the rooms kept the loud music out really well and it was easy to sleep.Had a few issues with dead and alive wasps in the room, but the staff very quickly helped up and also left us with wasp killer, which made me more comfortable. I also think that they are a little understaffed and had 1 kitchen staff and 1 bar staff to look after the busy bar, a big party and a hotel.

Rooms are in the process of being updated. Service was fair as breakfast staff newly started and learning the ropes. Location is okay for public transport buses but a bit away from the train station. Bar area needs redecorating and flooring tidied up. Main staircase bannister is great but needs a touch of varnish or staining. A Gentleman toilet needs repairing.Guttering needs cleaning urgentlyStaff very friendly and helpful

Well I was pleasantly surprised by my short stay break! The room was really lovely as were the staff. The fried breakfast was perfect too! No parking though with it being centre of town so need to walk from car park and it's a really busy pub at night but luckily no noise after 12. Cheap and cheerful.

Had a solo trip away from the big city. More a mental health break. I wasn't expecting much from the trip but my gosh, what an unbelievable place this was. …

We were so surprised with this little gem! A classic old pub with a relaxed, friendly and fun vibe downstairs seemed unnasuming, but upstairs is a collection of very tastefully styled and massive rooms with tea / coffee facilities.... ours …

10/10 service, especially from the young lad with the slipknot tattoo, he had a brilliant personality on him and he really took alot of time to explain to us local tourist attractions, and he knew alot about his whiskey which we did go and …

We stopped over on our way home. Lovely hotel, beautiful rooms, friendly staff and a very comfy bed. Free ear plugs and proper coffee. It’s a pub so a little noisy but we expected it and aren’t cross… the earplugs were a master stroke. Highly recommend
