We stay every year with Brendan & Alison and their very polite staff. Always made to feel welcome and very accommodating with our dog and while we are at the mull rally. Food is amazing with a great selection, rooms are perfect, nice and cosy and has everything you need. All staff are very friendly. Wouldn't stay anywhere else. 😊

Fantastic location ,staff and food. The hotel is a very unique wooden construction with great views over the Sound of Mull both from the bar and lounge. Sea eagles, otters are often seen from the hotel. In good weather it has an outside deck for drinks etc.

Outstanding location with views across and up/down the sound. The staff are very friendly and clearly work well as a team together, food is to a high standard, with the option to dine in the restaurant, inside bar or outside on the verandah. There's also a large lounge upstairs, all with great views of the sound and hills around. Very quiet overnight. The remoteness means that mains gas isn't available, but electric heaters are provided in the rooms and for the showers. The added bonus is a well kept grass airfield with a small number of different types of aircraft flying in from time to time - it's not busy or noisy, but adds interest. A unique location to visit.

A comfortable stay in this friendly staffed hotel. The food was very good with great selection in both breakfast and dinner. The hotel offers lovely views in a quiet location yet not far to the small town of Salen. There are also some lovely walks within a short distance from the hotel.

We only had dinner here while staying at a bnb in Salen but the food, atmosphere and service were excellent. We phoned at short notice and though it was busy they found us a table. Two young waitresses did an amazing job of serving everyone with a smile and hardly any wait. Delicious chowder.

Grounds are unkept, staff are mildly rude and condescending, food is... average? Completely overpriced. Decor is outdated and rooms, like the food, are completely overpriced. Stunning views of the ocean, but the grounds, like I said, are run down and dirty. For what you pay - which is A LOT, not very good. Stayed here in march 2022

We loved the location and staff amazing. The food and beer in the restaraunt is above average and good value. The rooms are dated, smell a little musty but clean..Walls are thing and you can hear nearby room guests clearly. Quiet area. We would stay again.

Great location with stunning views over the Sound of Mull. Friendly staff, good food and the comfy upstairs lounge with more great views is a very pleasant place to while away some time. The adjacent grass airfield airfield where small aircraft still land from time to time adds character.
