Can't say enough good about our stay at the Marine Hotel. It is right in the center of town, so walkable to everything. Two minutes walk to the ferry port and the train station. Rooms were clean and comfortable. What really sets this hotel apart from most is the fact that it is family owned, and the service is amazing. We were met by Zoe, who went out of her way during our stay, and a couple of days later, to help and give advice on anything we might need. They also have a lovely bar area that is warm and welcoming. I would love to stay here over and over!

Clean, convenient, comfortable. Very hospitable. Breakfast was very good, too. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again. Several appealing watering holes within 100 meters. The town itself doesn’t amount to much and when the steam trains and regular train arrive in town it’s a zoo.

Stayed overnight at the Marine Hotel, lovely warm welcome from reception. The room was lovely, immaculately clean, comfortable bed and sea view. We had a full English breakfast which was excellent all served by a polite lovely young guy. We would stay again and certainly recommend it.
