This was booked sight unseen as our previous b&b choice was unavailable. Steve and Sue are a lovely couple who were very welcoming and in fact we spent a very pleasant evening with them on the Sunday night, after being invited to join them …

Comfortable bedroom but old fashioned and tired. The rest of the house is cluttered and untidy. Breakfast was OK. Host was friendly. This could be a great place to stay but it needs a revamp. There were old vacuum cleaners, broken lamps and chaos in the office.

Avondale house has friendly and helpfull staff, free private parking available.|It's a big house and we had a 3 persons ensuite room with enough space and a big TV.|Keep in mind that there is a dog in the house and at least one cat, they are friendly but if you have allergies keep this in mind.

Avondale House in Kingussie was a convenient stop on a road trip from N to S of Scotland. We were due to arrive late and leave very early, so we were delighted when the owners were waiting out on the drive to welcome us in the dark. Car parking was ample and convenient. The room and en-suite were clean and perfect for our short stay needs. The main positive was the excellent value for money. This was a clean, simple B&B for a short stop and great value compared to other local alternatives. I would recommend to others looking for a friendly stop between Scotland's far North and the central belt.

Lovely room, comfortable bed, nice bath, good quality linen. Warm cosy house, but also appreciated the special touch of a hot water bottle just-in-case. Complimentary tea, coffee, water and biscuits. Great hosts!
