While travelling solo in the area I decided to treat myself to a nice dinner, and chose Old Pines. Wow am I glad I did! The 5-course prix fixe menu is out of this world! …

We had dinner here in the restaurant twice this summer and it was fabulous! High quality food, stunning to look at, delicious to eat. Professional and friendly service. 6 courses, good value for such high end food in a great location

My wife and I had dinner here on a Sunday evening. It was memorable in so many ways. First, the setting is just beautiful, in the woods with streams, manicured gardens, and mountain-views.  …

Delicious food! The 5 course tasting menu was great and good value, the venison was superb! The evening could be improved with slightly more atmosphere in the restaurant with more music and the addition of some warm candles as it was almost silent at times and bright lights. But cannot fault the food. Stunning scenery too.

This place was amazing. It was like a big log or wooden cabin. Everything was beautiful. It had nice showers and the grounds were immensely kept the food was included breakfast and dinner and it was well worth not anything nearby can I order route to go there unless you’re a hiker, but that didn’t matter.

We went for dinner at the Old Pines. What a lovely evening. Wonderful picture windows overlooking the Munros we’d walked that day and also watching the babbling brook and the pet goats and geese wandering in the grounds. …

We stayed for 2 nights in August 2024. The staff were very warm and welcoming. The room was comfortable and perfect for a short stay. The two dinners we had were utterly delicious, the standard of cooking was incredible and a hugely pleasant surprise. Huge credit to the chefs.

Fantastic location, room and food. You can see the beautiful mountains and grounds right from the dining room, and the owners' goats and dog provided visual entertainment. We enjoyed an incredible tasting menu which was a very special experience, not to be forgotten. Easily accessible to town and nearby Fort William by bus. Highly recommend!
