Stayed at The Riverside several times this year and I must admit that the place it’s by far the best in the Highlands. The quality of the facilities is amazing, the friendliness and the care of the staff is outstanding. The location is close to town and the main shopping area but still private and quiet.Easy to reach any time of the year, parking is in the front of the house, access to all facilities is available day and night.Charlie is a legend and very knowledgeable about the vast area of the western coast of the highlands, his recommendations are easy to understand even by an English non speaker.Highly recommend this guesthouse and will definitely return again happily.

Stayed overnight before catching the morning ferry to Stornoway. Ideal location, just 2 minute drive to ferry check in.Everything was first class from check-in to departure. The room was excellent and the breakfast was equally excellent with the quality of the food matched with excellent, polite cheerful service.I want to thank all who submitted their reviews previously as it was these which led me to discover the Riverside for myself.

Stayed for one night en route to Lewis. Our room was spacious, comfortable and the facilities are excellent. Breakfast was first class and the staff are friendly and efficient. Very comfortable and welcoming and a short walk takes you to the waterfront where all the restaurants and bars are located.

A first glass guest house with a lovely clean bedroom and excellent bathroom facilities.|Breakfast cooked to order in a timely fashion. All in all, we were very well looked after, and the location was close to the town and harbour. We would be sure to return to this house when we find ourselves in Ullapool.|

This is without doubt the best Guest House that I have checked into on the UK mainland or the Inner Hebrides, they have thought of everything here to provide the very best guest comfort and convenience. The rooms, the beds, bathrooms, furniture and fittings are 5 star hotel quality, everywhere inside is clean and fresh. Breakfast is brilliant, you don't need to request anything they have thought of everything, the hosts and staff are amazing.

Stayed one night here on our NC500 trip. Check in was quick and friendly and our room was spotlessly clean, with plenty of space and well lit - something sadly lacking in some of the hotels we have stayed in en route. |Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice and good service.

Stayed for one night on our tour of Scotland. This was the most expensive B&B accommodation we stayed at and it was good enough, but other, less expensive places we stayed at were superior.|Warm welcome and efficient check-in. …

Parking sports directly in front of the hotel. Very modern rooms with comfy beds and nice and clean bathrooms. Breakfast offers a wide variety, and the owner gave some great advice on what to do and where to go.I'd recommend a walk up to Meall Mhor - Ullapool Hill!
