We had requested an upgraded room with a king bed. we were given a room on the top floor. When we arrived to the room, the window was fully open despite the temperature being around 45 Fahrenheit. The worst part was the overpowering smell of mold. The plus was she showed us another room with two twins but it only smelled mildly better. We ended up choosing the much smaller double room which thankfully didn’t smell. She did say there were kings on a lower floor but. If that was the case; why did she have trek to the top floor when lower floor rooms were available. BTW the other rooms didn’t have open windows.

This is a great little establishment and would 100% stay here again. The room was clean and comfortable (the shortbread was a lovely welcome touch!), and breakfast was fantastic with plenty of options. …

Just back from an amazing weekend stay (were visiting Fort William to participate in the Great Glencoe Challenge). Absolutely first class hotel with first class service. Rooms were spotless with very comfy beds. …

Great service, spacious clean rooms and a good restaurant attached. We had a family room (1 double bed, 1 pull out sofa bed) - the room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. …

This hotel was chosen for us when we booked with a tour group.||The room was a bit worn and tired looking, but the staff was extremely helpful, cheerful, kind, and welcoming. ||Also, the food at their restaurant was FABULOUS! The portions were very large and the quality and taste were superior.

Great hotel! Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious. Staff was polite and welcoming. David answered all of our questions, and he helped us make reservations for the ferry at Mallaig. He was also very gracious when I asked for wash cloths and brought them to our room.

Our family was there about a week ago during our trip through Scotland. We had dinner on our second night there and every meal we ordered was delicious and voted to be the best meal we had on our trip by all! I’m still dreaming of the risotto and sticky toffee pudding. All of the staff were so nice. If you’re in the area it’s a must do!

We did not have a reservation and although there were many open tables we were made to wait over an hour for a table. The hostess was rude, the service was slow and the table we were finally given was definitely the worst table in the restaurant even though several better tables stayed open. We could never recommend such a place. We been in Scotland for 2 weeks and have had nothing but great experiences, so I guess one bad one isn’t bad.

My family recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant and I must say it was one of the worst dining experiences in Scotland. Staff was rude and dismissive (morning shift) when we requested for a table for our family of three to be seated together. Was told to split and be seated separately as we came in a tour group. There were many vacant tables in the restaurant but the waitress just couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction. Never expected such poor customer service.

We had a party of 4 with 2 small children in the restaurant tonight , the food was delicious, clean plates all round . The service was excellent, and the staff were very good . I would highly recommend Browns for a meal.
