The best hotel we have been to during our trip to Scotland. Everything was great. Our special request for an early breakfast was fulfilled. We had fresh fruits, toast and a pot of hot coffee. The staff was really kind and helpful. We hope to come back soon :)

The hotel was right in the center of Portree. We were able to walk everywhere. The hotel rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was delicious and very filling. There was breads, cheese, lots of fruit, juices, muffins, coffee, and choices of hot dishes. The price was right. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing stay at The Caledonian in Portree. The hotel is right in the center of town. Our room was large, modern and very clean. The bathroom was immaculate as well. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. There was free parking behind the hotel which was a big plus. Overall, we had a 5-star experience.

2 night stay booked by a tour group. Room was huge. Hotel was very accommodating and managed to get us a 2 bedder. It was cozy and warm. Sounds carry though and could even feel the vibration from next door of their phone. Regardless, had a good sleep. Breakfast is definitely the highlight. Both cold and warm options including cereal , porridge, toast, eggs and haggis. The fresh fruits were awesome as well as the cheese which came in handy as snacks. Throughout the day you could help yourself to tea. It was very centrally located.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations —spacious and comfortable, it felt like home. Thomas truly represents Highland hospitality; he was warm and welcoming. Although we never needed it, he assured us he was available for emergencies after 10pm, and he seemed genuinely eager to help.Thank you for the wonderful experience.The breakfast was hearty and classic—we loved it.10/10 would recommend staying here.

Must admit was taken aback at the windy stairs two flights to reception and another to our bedroom. Breakfast was really nice and staff great. Thomas was very friendly. Enjoyed our trip to Skye.

Most hotel reviews focus on the bed comfort, location, amenities, etc. This hotel checks all those boxes. What makes the Caledonian truly special is Thomas, the owner of the hotel. By far the most welcoming friendly and personable frontman we have ever encountered in decades of foreign travel. Great breakfast also!
