Can not praise enough. Extremely tidy and pleasant room. The owners were very attentive and friendly. The breakfast was top-notch and perfect. Quite simply the nicest b & b I have ever stayed at. We were sorry to go when it came time to move on to the next leg of our vacation.

A great B n B run by a fantastic couple. They couldn't do enough for us. Everything was great. We booked all 3 rooms and the self catering apartment and we were also given use of a chalet to use.  …

In the summer of 2024, I (a single traveler) was on a multi-week round trip by car through the whole of Scotland with several stops and was extremely lucky to be able to spend a whole week in a beautiful little apartment with Isabelle and Robert at their Woodlands B&B. It turned out to be one of the best B&Bs I have ever been to („ever“ in the means of „in my life“).The house and apartment were very clean, with lots of little lovely details, good WiFi, a large modern TV - and a fantastic bed in which I probably had the best sleep in a foreign accommodation outside of my own bed ever. The room was perfect for guests - airy and with 2 roof windows, wonderfully bright, friendly - in short: a place where you can "bear" it at home perfectly on a rainy day.But as if all that wasn't "enough", there are also the hosts Isabelle and Robert: They are super friendly and extremely helpful with lots of valuable tips and you can tell that they do their job with passion and love. They also provide their guests a fantastic breakfast (Isabelle is French, no need to say more...!) and daily room service. In addition, every evening when I returned I always found a fresh cake in my room - it doesn't get any better than that!About the surrounding area: The Woodlands is on the outskirts of the town near a forest with a stream in the immediate neighboring town of Drummadrochit, THE main town of the Loch Ness Monster phenomenon in a wonderfully quiet and clean environment, ideal for visitors with a car. In the well-kept garden you can relax on benches with tables, read, eat or (like me) finish your drawing of the nearby Urquhart Castle on the Loch in peace and undisturbed. In view of the streams of tourists that flood the small but beautiful place in summer, which is blessed with good infrastructure and well-made attractions (two Nessie museums!), such accommodation is a real luxury - at a really fair price.Tip for the Nessie museums: Visit both, they are very different, but each original in its own way!I myself host a successful holiday apartment on Lake Constance in southern Germany and know what an effort and, to a certain extent, what a sacrifice it is when a host cares so much about the well-being of his guests. If it were possible, I would give 6 stars.Full recommendation - definitely book if available!!

I had a lovely 3 nights here, it’s an easy recommend. Isabelle and Robert are great hosts. They are so enthusiastic about their role and are so easy to get along with. They really will go the extra mile for you. They are also very knowledgeable about the local and wider areas so are a great resource for things to do.Breakfast was really nice and I was always made to feel that nothing would be too much effort. If I wanted extras I’m sure I just needed to ask.The B&B is well placed, off the beaten track but not too far away. The Loch Ness Centre is easily in walking distance. My room was great. A really nice, big and comfy bed, plenty of storage space, tea/coffee facilities in room. The shower in particular was the best one I used in my Scotland trip. Plenty of pressure and could get very hot.I’m planning on going back to Scotland at some point and I very much hope that Isabelle and Robert will have me back, this B&B is easily a first choice for accommodation now.
