We stopped for dinner at the Achness Hotel while staying at an airbnb, and the meals were beyond incredible - we stayed for a full three course meal and every single dish was amazing. …

Patrick was such a welcoming host who helped me tremendously. Beautiful location in this rural part of Scotland. A must visit for any GB Divider who are looking for a place to stay. Food was fantastic and priced very reasonable. Cant wait to come back

Location beautiful. Just stopped off for coffees after walking the casserly waterfall route, so didn't see hotel rooms, just the bar area. Service welcoming, friendly and informative. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed here about a week ago and cannot say enough about the generosity of our host. His hospitality was next level and really went out of his way to make our overnight stay one to remember.  …

To get here we had cycled 100 km on loaded up bikes that didn’t want to go any further. Neither did our legs. The generous host and dedicated staff managed to find us space and feed us. Glad to say the beer was cold. …

Traditional Highland hospitality in a beautiful and tranquil setting. It would be easy to drive past this hotel thinking that it does not look very exciting from the outside. …

The Achness hotel was our first hotel stop (3rd night) of the Highland Trail 550. What a Highland welcome! Patrick and his team, despite being rushed off their feet couldnt have been more hospitable.  …

We stopped here in heavy rain at the end of a long day cycling from the north coast. The staff were so hospitable and made us feel instantly welcome. Food was simple, good quality and good value. Great atmosphere in the bar too. Thank you!

If you want posh, you're in the wrong place. But if you've just done the outdoors and want to collapse with a pint or cuppa overlooking fields and hills, this is it. You couldn't ask for a more welcoming staff, and the food, while simple, was well-prepared and affordable.

Patrick and his team gave a warm welcome to a couple of passing cyclists in need of shelter and good food. Lucas the chef went out of his way to help. Superb value, great roast dinner and breakfast. The company of passing motorcyclists, cyclists and, of course, fishermen. Waterfalls with leaping salmon nearby. On the An Turas Mor and GB Divide routes. What more could one ask.
