There is nothing I love more than a true B&B when traveling, however, I feel like they are harder to come by these days that include personal interactions. Sunny Brae hit the mark and was what made Nairn so special! …

My husband and I visited Ireland and Scotland the first two weeks of June, and we stayed in four B&Bs/inns. Sunny Brae was the last of these. I had planned to save the best for last, and I certainly did! We had room 7 with a sitting area and a floor to ceiling window next to a chaise. Wow! What a view! We happily spent a few hours relaxing in the room on a rainy morning! The owners are the best. John greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. We met Rachel later- what a lovely person she is. They offered suggestions for activities when weather was rainy, and all suggestions were perfect. Rachel offered to serve our breakfast a tad early to help us depart on our final day. (Breakfast is perfect too. Private tables with full service.) I was sad to leave knowing we live so far. But if ever we return to Scotland I will go out of my way to stay with them again.

Absoutely wonderful BnB with truly delightful hosts John & Rachel. My son and I made it our base for three nights while we played golf at Nairn Golf Club and Royal Dornoch. COmfortable, quiet rooms. Wonderful made-to-order breakfasts. Could not have enjoyed our stay more!

Our stay was perfect here. Rachel and John are great hosts and have an incredible attention to detail. The location cannot be beat; situated close to the beach and numerous walking trails, you’re also a short jaunt from the center of town. Highly recommend Sunny Brae!

Don't stay in Inverness, stay in Nairn! Friendly and hospitable service. Room was gorgeous with a view of the ocean. Breakfast was delicious. I couldn't ask for a pleasanter stay - so happy I avoided Inverness and stayed in this quiet retreat. It's about 30 minutes drive from Inverness so close enough to come back to after a day of site-seeing. You won't regret staying here.

We had a lovely three night stay here. Our room was spacious and comfortable, spotlessly clean, with beautiful sea views, and had everything we needed. The king size bed was firm, which is what we like, with quality bedding. …
