This family run hotel was perfect. It offered 2 twin beds in a quiet area. Everything was very clean. A bit dated but that did not matter to me. The family was super nice. The breakfast was made to order and was delicious. They even offered a basic croissant and coffee to go. ( we had our own mugs) great place to stay.

Quaint historic hotel more like a B&B. Iain was great. Nice breakfast included in price. Very convenient to walk from train station and to bus station. Iain also made recommendations for dinner and was very helpful with everything including carrying our bags up the few stairs. We would stay there again!

The brother and sister proprietors made this the most delightful stay I have ever had. I was given outstanding service and individual attention from the moment I walked in the door. I let them know the time my train was getting in from Edinburgh then a five minute walk later they rolled out the red carpet. The place is central to everything. Dining, historic churchyards, Leakey's used books, one block from the Greig St. walking bridge and the Ness Islands walking trails. Breakfast was the experience that capped my trip to Scotland. Continental was available but the gem was the full breakfast prepared to order and whisked out to the table piping hot by Iain himself, proprietor. Everything that could be asked for was within reach on the beautifully set table. Asked if I needed anything else, I mentioned that two or three drops of hot sauce on my perfect egg would be nice. Seconds later Iain had it on the table as if it had been in his pocket all along and he was waiting for someone to finally ask. I could go on all day but let me just say that I can't wait for my next chance to book a stay.

A family-run hotel in a quiet location in the center of town, 5-10 minutes from everything, including the bus and train stations. I had a standard room in the back, overlooking the wall of a church. It was wonderfully quiet. …
