We have just enjoyed a fabulous week at this beautiful hotel. The welcome from the team was warm and throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble. Our dog was also made to feel very welcome. …

My wife and I had a very relaxing stay here recently. We were extremely well looked after by Pavlina, Simon and Michael whilst staying here. We sampled the a la carte and the tasting dinner on the two different nights and enjoyed them both very much. The room was comfortable and well kept.

Restaurant:The good: The food was truly a Michelin worthy experience in a decent dining room. The bad: They do not offer bottled mineral water😮, just chlorinated tap water which is not advised to drink. The service is very friendly, but a little inattentive, passed three times in front of an empty wine glass. When looking to clear plates, we were repeatedly asked: „Hey guys, are you done?“First, we’re not guys, second it is totally inappropriate, because we did not come to pay 117 pounds to empty our plates to get full, or „done“, but to taste something special and experience the kitchen delights which were truly remarkable. So of course they should ask something more polite, but more importantly ask how or whether the guests enjoyed the food. Because that would be ensuring end-to-end quality and also give opportunity to have a little chat with the guests.

My wife and I stayed at the Kilcamb Lodge for a short break and we couldn't have been more impressed. It truly is a haven of tranquility and cosy luxury. The location is idyllic. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable and stylish while retaining its traditional Highland warmth and charm. We loved to sit in the Drawing Room for a drink and a game of Scrabble while taking in the spectacular views over the loch and the hills beyond. The beach is beautiful and only a stone's throw away, so going for a pre-dinner walk was a delight. But the real highlight of our stay was the food. The tasting menu we enjoyed was truly outstanding - a succession of perfectly balanced dishes in a carefully thought out journey, each of them absolutely packed with flavour. We were very impressed with the quality of the food and thought it could give any Michelin starred restaurant a run for its money. We can't wait to be back again!

An idyllically set hotel with a very good restaurant on the shoreline of Loch Sunart. We stayed in room 6 which was very well positioned and overlooks the wonderful symbolic tree and loch. …

We were staying in the area and decided to treat ourselves. The lunch was outstanding and included homemade bread with mint-infused vinegar, and an amuse bouche with Stilton mousse, apple and sesame. …

We were very happy with the dining and service. However, the hotel has a dog policy, which is not followed or enforced. We specifically chose the hotel for it's dog policy, and our room as it was NOT one of the dog friendly rooms. …
