Beautiful main building from the exterior. The addition where the rooms are however is very 60’s inside and out. Quite possibly the smallest hotel room I have ever been in- and it’s called a superior twin.  …

The hotel is okay for one night. The rooms were clean, but very, very noisy. The service was nice, the breakfast ok. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom and the sleeping pillow was not very good (personal taste)

We were very late in traveling, and appreciated that the staff waited up for us. Based on our journey we didn't get to spend as much time at this establishment as we would have liked. The rooms were fantastic. We had family rooms that gave us space and were well appointed. The bed was phenomenally comfortable. The plaids were beautiful. The view was awesome. We would definitely stay here again if we were in the highlands. I would suggest a little more variety at the breakfast.

Positives: Hotel looks striking from the outside, is a reasonable walking distance from the centre of Fort William and offers plently of parking (albeit some is not adjacent to the hotel itself). …

The room was lovely, really comfortable and clean for a family with two young children. This was our best night’s sleep we had on our little week tour of Scotland. The service was good too. …

The hotel is clean and rooms are nice enough, but it is very expensive for the quality of the experience. …

Rooms were very clean, albeit small, borderline cramped. Bed linen was good quality and the mattress firmness was perfect for me. Ok view of the lake from our room due to other building obstruction. I’m giving this hotel 3 stars because it is very expensive and the breakfast was a massive letdown. Poor quality bread, no fresh fruit and a lot of single use plastic packages for things like jam, honey, granola, cereal. The sausages were overdone and wrinkled- could barely cut into it. I cannot believe they served banana chips and canned fruit medley for breakfast. Cheap and thoughtless. Their coffee machine was awful and I could barely taste the coffee in my cappuccino which just tasted like diluted milk. The chefs were nice and made us a yummy scrambled egg with onions when we asked, however. Staff were all nice and very accommodating overall. I would not stay here again. They really need to up the ante on their dining hall and breakfast if they are going to charge £300 a night.

Disappointing breakfast. The room and service were good. It’s a pity they don’t put in an effort to make something more out of the breakfast and it will not cost them a lot. ||But a very nice place with a nice view of the lake. …

Let’s start with the positives. The room was nice although the bedside light did not work so reading in bed was not possible ||Breakfast was plentiful being a buffet - but most of the options for cooked food were anything but hot - cold …

No wonder Fort William has been declared the least tourist friendly town in Scotland.  …
