Simply superb service from checking to checkout.First very pleasant surprise, a generous free afternoon tea with excellent cake and biscuits looking out onto Loch Lochy. We had items from the Indian section of the dinner menu and both are stater (salmon tikka) and the two chicken curries were outstanding. Washed down with a good IPA from the atmospheric bar where we started the evening. The breakfast buffet was one of the highest quality (but not super fancy) that I have had with the provenance of key ingredients shown.Atmosphere was a little “Highland formula”, wood panelling and tartan but nonetheless still worked very well.

Go here for the deck view of Loch Lochy. It's worth staying here just for a meal on that deck. The hotel exterior is not as impressive as the interior, at least on the ground floor. The rooms leave something to be desired as they are preserved in a fashion that maybe matches the original building, very old fashioned without even a place to charge the phone. A bigger issue was needing to have the window open at night to cool the room but it was facing the highway which brought in more traffic noise than breeze. If we had been there more than one night I would insist on a room facing the lake. Be aware no elevator exists, so pack lightly for climbing steps.

We enjoyed a 2-night stay here during our time in the Highlands. The location is ideally 'between' lots of places worth seeing, and the view is 100% spectacular! The service was helpful and professional. The rooms are a great size and comfortable, however, guests have no temperature control, unfortunately (except heat). It wasn't the best sleep because we were a bit overheated. But aside from that, it's a nice place! We recommend it.

If we could give a rating of 6 stars we would. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the man in a suit who helped us with our check-in and restaurant order particularly so. The design was very cozy, the rooms clean and the location fantastic. On a side note, the Indian food in the restaurant was sensational.

The Whispering Pine Lodge is a lovely retreat with a charming atmosphere and beautiful lake views. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only minor issue is that the restaurant menu could offer more variety. Overall, a delightful stay. Four stars!

Didn't stay overnight. But we had a meal there. Way overpriced, so we didn't even think about a starter. I and a friend had the haggis, which we both regretted. Very small portions. The turnips and the potatoes were a bit tasteless, and looked like they were blended within an inch of their lives. Potatoes reminded me of Smash (for those that can remember that)One friend says it looked like a Wiltshire Fine Foods for those with no teeth. The haggis had obviously been in the oven to heat it up as the top was dry and crustyThe service was adequate. The view was really what one paid for.The bill was very confusing. We sat for 10 minutes trying to figure it out.At home we realised that though the bill seemed to say something cheaper than the menu, they had added 20% VAT, plus 10% service charge. We won't be going back

Truly an unforgettable stay at The Whispering Pine Lodge. We were there for 3 nights and we wished we could have stayed longer.Myself and my dog had one of the luxury loch view rooms, and when we got in the room there was a little bag with a ball and a couple of chews for her which I thought was such a lovely touch. They were extremely accommodating of my dog, and there is even a little designated dog mess area outside, not to mention the private pebbled beach which is perfect for throwing sticks along! The room was amazing, definite Scottish feel to it, mega comfy bed and lovely sized bathroom. Loved the turn down service as well. The balcony provided a stunning view that I couldn’t quite believe was mine. The food was 5*. We had breakfast and dinner there every day and we were never disappointed- the service was excellent as well. All the staff we encountered were so lovely and helpful. We went on to stay at another hotel of the same star rating and it was no where near as good as our stay at The Whispering Pine Lodge. Would recommend 💯 and thank you for letting us make some memories we will never forget!
