Beautiful, quiet and spacious hotel! It’s very clean (the cleanest place we stayed in Schottland (including expensive hotels). Amazing and picturesque property and rooms. It’s really a different hotel experience but we absolutely loved it, so special! Would have loved to stay longer and will be back for sure! What a dream stay!! Thanks a lot to the owners!

Highland Bear Lodge was beautiful! The location, the room, all the little touches were just perfect. We stayed for 2 nights in the Bonnie Prince Charlie suite and absolutely loved having sole use of the hot tub. Our stay was the relaxation that we needed. Thanks Mark!

I really like the fresh orchid plants in different colours all around the lounge, in our bedroom room, Bonnie Prince Charlie Suite and even in the bathroom :). I thought they were artificial at a glance but they are real plants.It was a comfortable and relaxing stay, amazing views from the hotel and so peaceful up there. When we arrived, our request (due to my husband's allergies and I personally prefer the synthetic also) for synthetic bedding wasn't done so, I called Mark to explain and turned out whoever changed the bed to synthetic was done in a different room. Mark was very apologetic and got that sorted by the time we returned from dinner. There was an apology note from Rach and a box of chocolate which I thought was very kind and genuine.By the way, only one room, Bonnie Prince Charlie Suite is on the ground floor and the other 2 rooms are upstairs.In the useful information email from the hotel, it mentioned bread rolls as part of breakfast choices. We met one other couple in the lounge who were staying upstairs and they were curious whether we got bread rolls because they didn't get any and reminded us that it was mentioned in the email. We weren't that bothered about the bread rolls. Although he is correct, it says in the information email but not on the website so perhaps the information email template needs to be updated.Overall, recommend this hotel to others.Note that the uphill to the hotel as soon as you turn left by the big bear is a little bumpy so keep both hands on the wheels.

Stunning location set in Glen Urquhart with the most amazing view beautiful Scottish Manor House with huge log fires and easy self check in. Loved in room breakfast great idea and we took it as a packed lunch. Perfect for exploring Loch Ness.
