Excellent breakfast. Hotel a bit tired. View from bedroom window horrible. Bed comfy. Staff lovely. We were given a twin room after asking for a double room. Caley bar really nice and price of drinks very good. Food OK. Pizza cold and chips really hot

Adequate hotel on the North Coast 500 that is obviously used to catering for many travellers. We chose a superior room which was spacious, well lit and clean so feel that the choice really improved our overall stay.  …

Comfortable hotel and reasonably priced. We had a Sea view Deluxe Double which, unknown at the time of booking, included a free mini bar stocked with wine, beer, soft drinks and chocolate. …

It's not a bad place to stay. It's a bit dated looking but comfortable. The double bed we had was an ok size. The bathroom was clean, and the showered was good, but it did make a lot of noise. My only criticism is that there is no lift. We had a heavy suitcase and ended up with a room on the second floor, so we had to take the stairs with a heavy suitcase.

We stayed at this hotel in July 2024 with our lovely dog. It was chosen because of its dog-friendliness and it didn't disappoint. The room we had was spacious, dinner was outstanding and our breakfast (hot and cold buffet style) was excellent. The staff couldn't be more helpful. We were able to take our dog to both dinner and breakfast, which makes a huge difference for us - she is part of our family. We would definitely stay again if the opportunity arose.

Nice clean rooms, USB's in the wall to help with charging more devices. Bathrooms also clean and the water pressure issue mentioned in some reviews wasn't apparent in our rooms (we stayed in first floor). Breakfast was buffet style, 15£ per person with quite a big selection of foods and beverages. Parking is a bit of an issue, its a first come first serve, but we found street parking nearby.

Ok, so This isn’t the kind of review I’d usually want to leave, but given the circumstances and the complete lack of compassion from this hotel, I feel compelled to share my experience. I booked a stay but needed to cancel within 24 hours of booking, a full week ahead of my planned arrival. Despite the generous notice, I was stunned to learn that their policy is unforgiving – absolutely no refund, no flexibility. I completely understand that cancellation policies are in place, but most reasonable establishments consider exceptions within the first 24 hours, especially given ample time to re-list the room and secure another booking.Instead, they insist on keeping the payment without providing any service, likely profiting twice by rebooking the room while keeping my payment. It feels like I’m doing all the legwork to make this easy for them, yet I’m out of pocket for it. This policy is rigid, customer-unfriendly, and seems designed more for profit than hospitality. When we do eventually plan our trip, I will most definitely avoid this hotel and any others with the same non-refundable policy. Flexibility and customer care are important to me, and this experience has shown me how little regard they have for their guests’ circumstances. Think twice before booking here – there are plenty of hotels that prioritize their guests over their profit margin.”
