All round five stars, I've only given it four stars overall due to the cleanliness of the restaurant, the floors were so sticky morning and night as we had the breakfast and dinner package.I felt an overwhelming urge to grab some bleach and a mop and come back after hours to clean the floors, plus the seats were sticky and a lot of the bench seats had huge tears in them!However all that aside fantastic, room, great balcony area, great service!Lifts were out of action once or twice but I guess that can't be helped.But overall very good sleep and stay and would 110% use the hotel again!Thank the gods for the air con! As well thank you 🙏

Staff are lovely. You know what you get. But there is so much general wear and tear maintenance doesn’t seem to keep on top of like the seats in the restaurant. Brings down your whole visit. Also the balcony tables wasn’t cleaned when we arrived

Yet again a mix up with booking so it took over an hour to get our key. Rooms need a good cleaning or makeover. Cups etc... In restaurant need cleaning as always stained.

I have a lot to say about this hotelFirst of the restaurant was disgusting and I was so shocked the food was cold and taste less like canteen food but worse and we cancelled our food plan the restaurant sesting was horrible unclean and teeming with people and seats were damaged. We had to wait for everything we stuck to on site restaurants.the hotel itself is OK it's a bit run down and not much colour and really just not very welcoming there is no seating area and we were standing waiting for our room for 30 mins the check in process was a nightmare there a only 2 lifts and check in was horrible we had to wait and wait to get checked in and it was honestly just a painful it was horrible trying to get a lift the rooms are nice but a bit appressing but there was some air conditioningHouse keeping come way to early in the morning and generally you can't get your room cleaned we found we had to queue for everything the restaurant the lifts even to get in. We generally had a nice time but generally would not stay in this hotel again and try a different one the hotel also has a weird layout and very confusing. But one thing I can't flaut is the staff there amazing

Well, this place states that it amazing if you watch the TV adverts. No No,it needs a massive face lift.I will start at the beginning, massive lack of parking space at yhe ocean Hotel, only one lift working in the hotel which is a joke, really long wait times. I asked one of the reception staff who said it had been broken for weeks. Next the restaurant had damaged seating areas which were badly repaired with black tape and it looked awful. Food was at best ok.The whole place is worn out, paint pealing off damaged walls in the rooms, street lamps falling apart, lager glasses thrown in the ponds,I could go on. The staff are really miserable and everything was a real effort for them, prices are high everywhere and for everything.And most worrying,after on morning breakfast on the last day we returned to our room and found the door wide open?????? At first I thought the room service had been, but on asking them they said they had not been in our room yet as they only started 5 minutes ago. As it was not 10:00 yet all our stuff was still on tables, phones,money, tablets,personal items etc.. Sombody had been in our room, I raised this with security who were not really to bothered about it, they made some effort by checking some key codes and told us that we left the door open, this was not the case as I remember shutting it behind me.Nothing more was done........For the price you pay it us not worth the money or the time, never again Butlins.I would get better at Maplins.. Hi De Hi.......

Room was really clean and well kept. Unfortunately we upgraded to a sea view. Small gap between trees and a building site. When the room was booked on the phone. There was no mention of a building site, which started at 8am every morning.

Room clean, no issues with getting more towels. Staff were very friendly. 3 issues I had were the reception closing way too early, when I locked myself out I had to go on a 20 minute hunt to speak to staff and go to multiple places just to be able to get back in, though the staff were helpful the actual incident could have been cut alot shorter, and when I asked for room service one day my sheets were not changed nor my quilt, they were made and looks neat as when we first arrived but they weren't changed over to fresh ones. Restaurant staff were exceptional, can be a hassle getting a lift at peak times but that's just logic. Breakfast 8am best to get there at 7:40am to be first and dinner 4:30pm best to get there at 4:10pm
