My wife and I went here for dinner last night (Wednesday). We both had the Plaice. The food and the service were outstanding. The moment you enter the pub, you feel right at home. The atmosphere and the attention to detail are just exemplary. We can’t praise the staff and owners enough. We will definitely be back and tell others about your lovely pub. Thank you for such a memorable evening.

Visit as often as we can. A family favourite spot for lunch. Always delicious, the menu is never the same. Kids (and I) enjoy the chickens and the small play area. Beautiful outdoor space when the weather allows!

Fantastic food and beer. One of the best Sunday roasts I've had in a while! Yorkshire puds with rosemary top were delicious. If it was closer I'd be a regular. The garden is a magical space too. The only downside was being told that a £2.50 per head 'Cakeage' fee would be applied if we wanted to bring a cake to celebrate the 3 birthdays that warranted our visit to the pub in the 1st place. Never heard of a cakage fee so we ate cake in the church grounds opposite.

We stayed for two nights in their b&b and ate in the pub both evenings. The food is exceptional, all of it delicious, fresh, home cooked, the standard of a brilliant restaurant. …

You will genuinely never visit a pub like this. From the moment you walk in the door, it’s the most welcoming and warm place in the world and you’ll immediately feel like it’s YOUR local pub.The service is exceptional and immediate when you walk in, with a beaming smile and welcome from the bar staff, serving a smorgasbord of local and hand-chosen beers and wines from the brothers in charge - Ben and Sam.The food is priced according to its quality, so do expect it to be a little more than your standard pub, but it’s worth it for a menu of seasonal fare all cooked to perfection and served to a true restaurant standard. It’s not too big, too small, too fussy, nor too big of a menu. They know what they can do and they do it exceptionally. We have been here with groups of anywhere between four and fourteen and the standard, service and smile has never wavered from the moment you walk in to the moment you (sadly!) leave.Simply the best pub in the world.

My husband and I stayed for two nights, it was wonderful. The breakfast is amazing, fresh milk and orange juice on the table, and the cooked breakfast is just so delicious. I had their homemade gluten free bread, which is fantastic! We had two dinners and the menu changes daily, honestly can't stay enough just how delicious the food was and they were so accommodating for gluten free.Fresh eggs and local honey to buy on the counter. Wonderful, welcoming staff. An overall lovely vibe to the place. Just a delight!

Slightly odd experience. Arrived at 1.30pm on a Saturday. Told as we walked in no tables available. Ordered drinks and asked if we could sit in the garden then (despite fact blowing a gale). …

We came here for lunch on a Wednesday afternoon, and (speaking as self-professed foodies) this was some of the best food we’ve eaten in a very long time. I had a ribollita (Tuscan soup) which felt like pure cosy comfort in a bowl, plus some unbelievably tasty homemade bread and salted butter, and a side of fries which were perfect. Then a coffee with some very tasty cubes of fudge—the ideal balance of sweet, buttery and salty. We sat in the outdoor area as it was a warm day, and it felt like a little paradise. Certainly a far cry from the hubbub of our central London base. The inside is charming and the staff were wonderfully helpful. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
