Visited for lunch as we hadn't been to for many years and wish I hadn't. My wife ordered chicken burger which was ok but not great I ordered fish and chips which was truly awful the batter was soaked in fat not crispy and tasteless and peas were hard and coldOn the bright side chips were great.

A lovely village pub with large garden. However, although the garden is large it's not particularly well kept and some of the picnic benches are well past the point of needing replacing. The food is not good. I've eaten here twice and both meals were of poor quality and value.

Lovely friendly pub, with a warm atmosphere and great service. It caters for locals and tourists, and has a real country pub vibe. The menu is good with a range of dishes. It's in a picturesque village and is very much a traditional English pub, but with a worldly outlook.

Really friendly staff, great real ales that are kept well (if a little pricey), lovely large garden with a climbing frame for the kids. The only reason the overall rating is three stars was down to the food. Which whilst good quality does not offer value for money due to portion size vs price. £3 for bag of pork scratchings.
