Unfortunately I'm not allowed to give 4.5 stars which would have been my preferred score.Stayed for 2 nights. The bed was huge with quality linen, very comfortable and spotlessly clean. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of space between the end of the bed and the wall of the ensuite. Whilst I happily accept that a traditional village Inn will never be cobweb free, I would expect them to be fresh cobwebs rather than the dusty ones on the ceiling. The staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient.Breakfast was good. The menu included fruits and cereal but didn't actually say what fruits and cereal were available. The hot breakfast was well cooked, hot and nicely presented. Personally we would have preferred thicker/nicer bread for the toast. We ate in the restaurant one evening and the food and service were faultless. It is worth remembering that the rooms are above what is clearly a popular pub and it can be noisy late at night.A very enjoyable stay.

We had a bowls club get together and meal here booked for an evening start timeCannot fault this place food was excellent ,staff were professional but friendly and the atmosphere was spot on. This was chosen for a club venue but can imagine this would also be a good location for couple's and small groups. Thanks again Lamb for a superb evening .

This is my local so often pop down for a drink. Have eaten here once and the food was good. Lovely setting with outside tables but more tables outside would be a bonus. Friendly staff and great atmosphere inside when it's busy.

Exceptional and delicious! Absolutely outstanding menu and food preparation + presentation. Super helpful wait staff; our elderly family member was struggling to eat her menu choice, and a replacement was offered as soon as this problem was mentioned. Delicious ingredient combinations and beautifully plated. Even the tea and coffee were fab. Thank you!

Very nice pub set in a quaint village. Poppy is a lovely waitress and her colleague serving was, too; they worked hard during a busy lunchtime. Food absolutely delicious and very nicely presented. Good value for money. Dog friendly.

I visited the Lamb for lunch on the recommendation of a friend. It did not disappoint. I chose from the special 2 course menu and the food was amazing. The trout fillet on a bed of spinach and couscous was delicious and the peach salad to start was good too. Very friendly staff also.

Great village pub and hotel! The staff are friendly, helpful and attentive. The in-laws stayed in the one of the rooms for several nights and were very happy with the room amenities and the food the had on the 2 occasions they ate in the restaurant.

I had fish and chips. It was ok but a bit expensive at £17.50. The fish had skin on and I think it’s nicer to prepare it without. The mushy peas was just a small portion and I prefer with more mint flavour. The tartare sauce was not very flavoursome and more creamy like mayonnaise. Chips were fine but nothing special. All small details perhaps but it’s these differences with more attention to detail which would make it more worthy of the price. It needs to be special for this price and it just wasn’t. Nice and attentive staff.

Arrived early afternoon, staying at a local campsite, intended to have a few drinks and some snacks… lady behind the bar was so frosty , snobby and unhelpful. …

Went here for a company meal. Food was cooked well and the service was good. Staff were polite and helpful. There is a car park behind the main building, which is free to patrons. There are toilets available. The actual restaurant is separate from the main bar. All in all a pleasant evening.
