What an absolute treat this place is. We love fresh seafood so had to make the trip to try it out. I had the special soup which was roasted pepper and tomato & gluten free fish and chips for my main. My other half had prawns to start then the most delicious gnocchi for his main. We then shared the sticky toffee pudding which was vegan with the most amazing salted caramel vegan ice cream. There is a great was at range of wines but love the fact they feature local British wine and produce. I’d recommend xx

My wife and I came here when staying locally for a wedding, and we were hugely impressed with the high quality food and service we experienced. A particular highlight was the traditional fish soup which was one of the best things I’ve ever tasted. Fantastic location too - we will absolutely return when we’re in the area again. My mother in law has also stayed here and was very complimentary about the accommodation.

We were not staying here, we went for dinner, a group of six, on a Sunday evening. Fabulous location, felt very historic. Lovely old building with a simple modern style interior. Service was excellent, the Grenache wine was good. The fish soup, which has been mentioned often, was very ordinary, pleasant at best. the Tiger prawns (just 2 of them) were ok but costing £7 each?! The Halibut fillet main was really good, beautifully cooked, as was the roast beef and the crab. The Gnocchi however was very bland and the portion was tiny. Overall we felt it was good pub food but very expensive for what we got, with little or no nod to generosity, passion or extravagance in any way. The gents lavatories were really not cleaned at all well, the smell was pretty overpowering, such a shame when someone had bothered to put fresh flowers in there, but not cleaned before. So easy to fix. All rather disappointing.

Love this pub. Had a fabulous weekend there with friends and booked to go back again as soon as possible. Fabulous food and atmosphere. Rooms tick all the boxes and plenty of walks in surrounding area to try and make yourself feel better for eating so much food!

We have been visiting the Crab and Lobster for years and have always experienced great service and excellent food. However two recent visits we made we felt let down by the terrible service we experienced. …

Treated ourselves to a posh lunch here and we were not disappointed. Lovely restaurant, great produce and very good cooking. The service could not be faulted. Located overlooking the marsh nature reserve. Love to go back.
