Lovely location. Right in the middle of the medieval town walls and a minutes walk to the Menai and Castle. Staff were all lovely and friendly. And an excellent cooked breakfast every morning . The 2 minute walk to the anglesey for breakfast made you feel a part of the town.

I wanted a memorable place to stay while I visited my daughter at uni in Bangor. Of course Canarfon fulfilled this as it is a great location which is very unique with lots of history. This guest house was just what you would expect given the location and cost. It was well furnished with clean toilet and shower. The carpet could do with a deep clean. The breakfast in the nearby pub was excellent with very welcoming staff and good food.

We have booked for four nights. At first, we have been checked in by friendly member of staff and asked for our breakfast preferences. Then we were walked to our room. We have booked room with shared bathroom facilities that were ok, just a little cold. However in the morning, we have reported a wet wall in our room. We have been moved to another room with immediate effect - this was also an upgrade to en-suite at no charge. It is fair to state that the building would benefit from renovation. The rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels delivered too. All staff that we approached were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included to the room price, served timely and hot - portions were decent. We would highly recommend staying in. Thank you.

We booked a double room with private bathroom. Easy check in, great location....upon arriving we noted the room could do with a lick of paint but otherwise tidy and great for the price! …

Stayed about 5 or 6 years ago. The most hideous place I have ever stayed. Disgusting anti-social owner. Smelly, dingy rooms. Couldn’t wait to get out of there quick enough. Worse nights sleep I ever had. Stayed in better backpacking hostels.

This place seems to have improved since some of the more negative reviews were written. There was no sign of "quirky Phil" and I suspect it had received a coat of paint and maybe even new management. …

When myself and my partner arrived on 26th of November for 1 night. There was no light in our room from the ceiling. It took 2 attempts to get bulb that fitted and working. We were also asked immediately what we'd like for breakfast without knowing what was fully on the menu and felt we had little time to decide what we'd like for the following day and at what time. The shower facilities smelt and toilets weren't clean. When we returned to our room in the evening we noticed that the carpet was soggy beside the bed. Causing our clothes to be damp. The matress wasn't comfortable at all as it was so hard it also felt broken. At breakfast time our food was cold/warm not piping hot same for the tea's. The portion sizes were small with undercooked mushrooms not worth the £60 pounds we spent

This b&b is run by the near by Anglesey Arms. It is tired and needs some tlc. It's called "Anglesey Townhouse" outside, not Tegfan. The main bathroom has been split into individual wc and shower rooms, numbered for the non ensuite rooms. It's quite a good idea, but two floors down for me. The bulb did not work in my wc and with no window had to use my phone torch. My shower room had no hook for clothes, just a mark where there use to be one. Not good having to put clothes and towel on the floor. I mentioned the things and I'm sure they will be sorted. But someone should have noticed themThese are simple things to fix.My clean room was painted 4 colours like a child's bedroom. My double bed was comfy. Breakfast in Anglesey Arms was good.

Only stayed for one night and it was OK, one of the staff at the pub checked me in before walking me around to the B&B (about 400m) and showed me the room. One shared bathrooms between 6 rooms, it has 2 toilets & 2 showers and a sink. The building is a little run down and my room was very small, but it wasn't expensive to stay - so that's the trade off.Breakfast wasn't available before 8am, too late for me as I had a meeting to get to.

Recently had 2 nights here as a lone traveller and his dog, we found it clean and simple which is reflected in the price. The only thing I would change is that it needs to be made clearer that you check Inn at the Anglesey Arms pub and not the townhouse. Otherwise enjoyed my stay with them
