Location is good in the middle of town and plenty of parking which is free. Friendly reception, although online check in & out is available and straight forward. We had a family room which was spacious. However the creaking single bed was irritating and the mattress was ropey. It's an old building, so I'm guessing it's listed hence the lack of proper double glazing, although there is the kind that's on the inside of the frame. Bit noisy, bathroom is very dated and water temp a bit hit n miss.Overall, it is good value for the price just don't expect everything to be new and shiny. It has charm, but is noisy and lively in the evening in the bar area.I would stay again for the price and location. It's convenient for me to see family and is decent enough for a couple of nights.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable beds. We were in a family room which was quite spacious. Nice breakfast. Arrived late and left early the next morning so we didn't see much more of the hotel. …

We walked along the steps beside the hotel to access their carpark, covered in broken glass, rubbish and sick. …

the service for the hotel and for the bar was amazing. The bar staff were friendly and approachable, food was really tasty. My two children really enjoyed themselves and Callum the manager was very nice to them even with them running around with me chasing them. The hotel was lovely, comfy beds and felt really cozy. All in all definitely recommend.

This was the worst place I’ve stayed. The room was cheap and reflected the state of the hotel. It’s also facing a load of clubs with music playing till midnight. There was a fight outside at 4am. Drilling noises outside our door at 12am, and roadworks starting at 7.30.Only good thing was the staff who were lovely.EDIT 02/09/2024It gets worse. The booking was made as a work booking, with a virtual credit card attached, which was charged for the price shown at time of booking. So on check in my partner was asked for his card for a deposit in case of damage. He gave his personal card over and a few days later this was charged £39.45. He contacted the hotel and spoke to someone who said that he was new and needed to go and check. He was going to speak to the duty manager and call back. He didn't.My partner called again today and was told that the additional payment is because the booking was actually £91.11.Needless to say, our travel company at work are now trying to resolve this. DO NOT BOOK.

Must be 30 years or more since I stayed here last. I was not disappointed. Clean and comfortable rooms. For an overnight stay it was just what we needed. The staff were so helpful especially the female receptionist. Handy being able to park at the hotel as well.

Hotel booked as a couple for a stay in Wrexham. The staff at reception were extremely friendly. The parking was free just had to register the vehicle at reception. The room was not great, there was an awful stench that did not go away. It was very dated and dirty. The carpet was filthy and the shower curtain stank. The window was mouldy and condensated in the room. The room did have a kettle and a selection of tea and coffee including Decaf coffee. The walls were very thin so could hear banging, hallway noise, doors and showers of other guests. We were awoken at 7am by a long period of barrells being rolled from the bar which wasn't great, this was so loud it came through a closed window. Not a great hotel but ok if you just need some sleep.

This is the second time I stopped at the hotel. The first time, I was not impressed by the rooms cleanliness. The carpet hadn't been vacuumed well, and there were dirty marks on the wall. But I didn't consider this a big thing, and my stay was a short one so I could get over it.The second time I stayed, I arrived at 8pm and was told my room wasn't ready yet. After it was "cleaned," I got into the room and found the bed sheets on both beds to be dirty with what I hope were chocolate stains and pen marks.I asked to be moved to a different room but the hotel was fully booked and by this time it was too late to book a new accommodation elsewhere so I had to accept my original room after the sheets had been changed. Definitely felt icky with that.Poor attention to detail in the rooms and lack of staff at reception. Staff on duty in the hotel section were not very professional. This is the last time I will be staying here.
