Our stay was brilliant from beginning to end. Friendly staff and even friendlier dogs. The room was spacious and well kept with plenty of teas, coffees etc and a coffee maker.  …

Our host was strange, he didn't listen and made no apology for short comings. The room hadn't been cleaned properly, there was a fleece in the wardrobe and a bag of sweets in the bedside locker. Also a stain on the duvet cover. The plug in the wash basin didn't fit and the toilet seat was loose. The dining room needed a good dusting. Our supper was lovely although overpriced. Breakfast was small and only brown bread was used for toast. No apology for this, just 'this is the bread we use.' It looked lovely but I can't eat brown so no toast for me.Generally overpriced and claiming to be something that it's not. We left feeling dissatisfied and taken for a ride.

We had a fabulous time here. We went with our dog but with or without a dog it is a great place to stay. The beach is beautiful, really clean soft white sand and very quiet and right across the road. Up the hill by the castle grounds is a lovely little village with all the shops, pubs etc that you could want. All in all our stay here was perfect, we hope to be back soon.

Had a great stay with our new rescue dog Luna, she is quite nervous but was made to feel so welcome and the owners went out of their way to make it so positive for her. The room was lovely and spacious, immaculately clean with great views. A very short walk to the beach and castle, would highly recommend!

There was a very limited choice of ales, only lagers and bottles. Food was well cooked and tasty, but really overpriced and small portions. For example, salmon, tomatoes and tender sweet broccoli was nearly £20!!|Service was good and friendly
