Lovely place, my walking party visited here several times over our trip. Staff are lovely, nice atmosphere and cosey decor. Radio is always playing with good music. Great place to settle down after the trip.

Stayed overnight with my daughter in a twin room. The room was small, the wardrobe a bit tatty, but it was immaculately clean. The en suite was spotless and modern. Really comfortable beds. …

A really friendly, busy pub with spotless rooms that were safe and comfortable. We were 2 friends who stayed here whilst walking Glyndwr’s way. All the staff in the pub were very friendly, as indeed were the local community. …

Parking was very handy. Didn't stay but went for dinner. Lamb shank was good (4 out of 5*), I had the Glamorgan sausages (again, 4/5).

Situated right in the heart of this interesting market town, this well-maintained little hotel was a good choice of resting place. The rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. …

Stayed here for a work trip. My train was arriving after 10pm on a Sunday evening so I rang ahead and arranged for my key to be collected- there were no issues. The staff were really friendly and helpful. I had to leave before breakfast after my second night and they arranged for a “go bag” of sandwich, crisps, yoghurt and drink to be collected the night before, which was a life saver!Vegetarian breakfast was massive, coffee and juice available to refill.Room was large, clean and modern, absolutely perfect.Only thing of note was that I couldn’t get the window to close and the town clock rings every 15 minutes throughout the night. I’m a fairly good sleeper so it didn’t bother me too much, but it is very nearby and quite loud.

Regularly pop in after a day riding as the Beer is great. An amazing selection of ales which regularly change which is great to see as we ain't no lager drinker. Food is alright could do with a bit more love & better Vegan options would not be a miss.....like sausage & mash but this is an ongoing thing but at least there are options.

Parked in hotel car park & went in to the bar. After we were told which table was ours, we had the menu. We tried using app, but in the end went to the bar & ordered our meals & drinks. My partner had a gammon steak with all the trimmings & I had a lamb shank with mash. With the drinks it came to about £40 or just over. Portions were very generous. I would like to suggest maybe offering smaller portions of mains & then perhaps offer a small selection of puddings as well.Overall it was a very nice meal.

Called in for Sunday Lunch. Hadn't pre booked but was served a lovely lamb cooked dinner. Others with me had beef or chicken equally good. Nice sized portions at a reasonable price.
