Terrible Customer Service – Zero Compassion or Communication!I booked a stay at the Beaufort Hotel through Booking.com but was unable to attend due to my partner unexpectedly going into labor. Obviously, this was an urgent and unforeseen situation. We contacted the hotel immediately to explain and request either a refund or to reschedule our stay, fully understanding that these things happen. However, the hotel's response has been utterly disappointing. Despite calling numerous times, we were constantly promised that someone would "call us back" — yet no one ever did. It’s now been weeks, and not a single follow-up. They have completely ignored multiple emails and requests through Booking.com as well. The complete lack of communication and empathy is appalling, especially considering the situation. We weren’t asking for anything unreasonable — just some basic customer service and decency. Clearly, they’re only interested in taking your money, and once they have it, don’t expect any help if something goes wrong.I strongly advise against booking with the Beaufort Hotel. Their customer service is non-existent, and they have shown zero compassion in handling our situation.Would give zero stars if I could. Avoid!

Booked for us by a 3rd party walking group and this hotel suffers in comparison to the walking focused B and B’s we stayed in earlier in the week. …

Older style hotel but good size and comfortable room. Has windows that open to allow for fresh air into room. Poor quality shower and water pressure. Comfortable double bed and bedding. Manager and staff friendly and helpful. …

We held a wedding party at the Beaumont. The hotel staff were happy to provide everything we asked, always friendly and helpful. The buffet was plentiful with a good choice. No rigid rules about setting up or clearing the room.  …

We had a family Sunday lunch for eight people there on the 15th. Not only was the food just absolutelyfantastic but also the staff went out of their way to discretely accommodate some dietary requirements. …

Having been in Cheltenham for a business meeting and not needing to get back home in a hurry we checked out hotels in The Forest of Dean, Chepstow also popped up. …

I was given a ground floor room with a flimsy sash window opening on to their small car park. The window opened wide enough for someone to get through.  …

I have to mention the excellent and friendly service I received from Ricky and his staff over the weekend. I was staying in Chepstow over the weekend to run at a local 10k race, and was made to feel very welcome and very comfortable. Ricky and team were very flexible and very friendly, helped me out a lot. I would stay here again if in the area!
