We stayed at the Oakeley Arms on a tour through Wales. We wanted a place close to Snowdonia and we found a gem! We couldn't have asked for a more typical country locale. There were welcoming fires burning in the fireplaces when we arrived. The staff was so helpful especially in getting luggage to the rooms. As this is a very old coach stop, there are no lifts. However, the rooms were spacious, clean, and well appointed. We loved the location and friendliness of the staff.

A thoroughly excellent visit. En route to North Wales,we decided to stop off here for a change. We sat by the welcoming fire near the bar. The young lady who served us was very pleasant. We ordered the lamb 🐑 burger with fries and the house burger with fries 🍟. A great choice. We'll definitely be back next time we are in the area.

Wonderful home cooked food. Nicest chicken I’ve ever had. Fell off the bone. Lovely home cooked chips too. Also. was served a huge bowl of fresh vegetables which were delicious. Highly recommend. Came a few years ago and just as good. Will definitely return when back in Snowdonia.

Good food, slightly on the high end price wise for what it is, but fresh and good portion size. Good beer selection and cosy rooms with couple of real fires going.Only cons, Tables feel like need a good clean, very sticky. And toilets locks don't work and seats broken. Surprised by that standard.

We loved it. Great service, fab food (Ribs, and Steak Pie). The decor is lovely too (we sat in one of the bays) and whoever looks after the plants is a plant genius, so happy and healthy :-)

Lovely overnight stay. Great room although the bed was a little squeaky.|Nice selection of tea and coffee and good quality toiletries. This was just a one night stay on my multi stage hike across Snowdonia. |The hotel is well maintained and located in a convenient spot.
