This was a great find. Beautiful old hotel with lots of modern adaptations. The location is very convenient for accessing Snowdon and Llanberis is a lovely town to walk around. The staff were fantastic and very accommodating. The bar was great and served excellent food. The breakfast was freshly made with a wide range of choices, and great views over the gardens if you got a window seat. Our family room was huge with good size beds for all of us. It was a very enjoyable stay and we would definitely visit again.

Fabulous location for all the Llanberis attractions. We had an absolutely superb room. Bathroom hasn't had the same work as the room but it wouldnt take a lot to bring it up to the same standard.  …

Great location and service in the bar, set in lovely grounds on the edge of Llanberis . I found the hotel to be in need of updating, it felt very old fashioned and tired. I ate in the bar which offered a good selection of food at reasonable rates. Our room was tiny but clean. We only ate in the dining room for breakfast but found it to be old fashioned and the cooked breakfast served through a small hatch was limited but adequate. There was a kipper and poached egg option but this was not pointed out by the Maitre d'For the money disappointing but there isn't a great choice in Llanberis.

Beautiful place, really convenient for the snowdon train, climbing Snowdon and the lake, however our room ,in the outside building was a huge disappointment. We paid £145 per night which in hindsight I wouldn't have given them £50 for.The door knob came off the bathroom door the first time we entered it ,the bath didn't drain after a shower and a bed side light didn't work. Also our door wouldn't lock.Had we known we were going to be given this outdoor annex we would never have booked it.The Hotel gave us a £20 refund, however £125 for this room was still way too much.A huge disappointment.

A friend and I stayed for 2 nights while visiting to climb Snowdon. The hotel is situated in an excellent location, just minutes from the mountain railway and Llanberis mountain path. …

Great location. Good breakfast, wonderful view over garden. Bar food, the worst ever (I did complain, it really was inedible). Room not so good, bike storage opposite our room, car park the other side, which made it very noisy especially with deliveries. Delivery lorry parked outside our bedroom window every morning between 4 and 5 am. Toilet in our room flushed every now and then. Problem was reported more than once. We had one day when toilet flushed as you would expect. So fed up with the problem and having to go over to the hotel toilets we decided to leave early. Reception staff, that morning, did nothing to reassure us or to try and make things better. So we left and came home. Other members of staff were very nice throughout our stay. Disappointing, having a flushing toilet is a basic need.

Stayed here for four nights on a coach trip. rooms were ok. Staff were great. Evening meals were quite basic but that's what you get on coach trips. The restaurant was probably a lot better. Breakfast choice was very good. Located across the road from the Snowdon mountain railway.

My husband and I stayed here from 25th to 27th Oct for the 2024 Eryri marathon as the hotel is so close to the start line. The hotel is in a beautiful spot but it is tired, dated and well worn.We stayed in a family room in the Coach House. The entrance was awful, dirty carpet and a musty smell. The room was very basic with no nice features. It was noisy, you could hear everyone walking up the stairs to the next floor and every movement above. On a positive the staff were nice and the food was acceptable. This hotel could be fabulous, but it needs to be totally refurbished.
