I was recommended this place by Sarah from the Liverpool Arms.I went ahead booking for 2 nights, Julia the receptionist is a true diamond and asset as is Emma one of the cleaners.Being disabled I woke up this morning after a terrible night's sleep [Due to pain] deciding to check out as the pain I was in was increasing. When I went to pay, I was only charged for the 1 night, whereas they would have been able to charge for the 2.Julia explained to management my personal circumstances at which all fees were wavered. How nice is that?Julia asked if I needed help with my luggage, where Emma more than happily assisted me.Thanks ladies, you both went that extra mile for me 👌👌👌I highly recommend this hotel, very relaxed, great breakfast included, dog 🐕 friendly too.Thank you for a very pleasurable stay to ALL the staff who were very attentive to not just myself but all guests.Outstanding value for money, great spacious and very clean rooms.Emma reminds me of Peggy from Hi Di Hi 😀 she's a real diamond, Winston, my assistance dog loves her, that says it all.I am looking forward to my next visit already 👌👌👌THANKYOU so much

Been here a few times. Lovely hotel and wonderful staff. Great location on front with lovely views. We usually stay in the purple room on the front with sea views. But it was booked, having said that our room on the road side was very good with ample room. Especially as her indoors need to use her scooter. Never had a bad time here. Oh and the food is good.

Stayed 2 nights. Has a front and back entrance, car park is by the sea. Small car park, but we still managed to get a space on both days when coming back from a day out.||The location is great - lots of options for dining. …

Just back from 2 night stay with our 2 big dogs (Leonbergers). The hotel is very dog friendly, the only place dogs can't go into is main dining room which is totally understandable. …

Good sized room. Lovely view over the Menai Strait. Staff very welcoming. Excellent breakfast.However…..Bathroom - I have never see so much black mould in one bathroom. No extractor fan. The bath was cracked.Bedroom - carpet has multiple stains. The room overall - very poor quality for £180 per night B&B.I have increased my score from two stars to three after speaking to the management. They understood and agreed with my points and said steps are already in place to address these. They reduced my nightly rate to an acceptable one, based on my points on the room.

Just returned from a full week break at this hotel. As one or two reviews mention this hotel is probably in need of some refurbishment and a little TLC. However this is outweighed by the charisma and charm and character that this hotel gives. We had a standard sea view room and were not disappointed. The room was clean and comfortable with a good sized bathroom with bath and separate walk-in shower. The room itself was equipped with tv, and the usual tea and coffee making facilities including a kettle, small but functional built in wardrobe with hanging space and plenty of shelves for extra storage and including iron and ironing board. We stayed on a full board package with breakfast and evening meal. We were not disappointed with any of the meals as the food and the way it is cooked is top quality and we were never disappointed. All of the staff are super friendly and always ready to help and accommodate any requests you may have or need.. from the reception team to the bar staff and the restaurant staff they are all a credit to the hotel. So thank you all for making our stay special. The hotel is a great place to meet and make friends easily and with its warm and charming atmosphere… we made lots of new friends so easily. We can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and we enjoyed it so much we have booked a full 7 day 2024 Christmas stay..Thank you all so much for a memorable stay. In this wonderful hotel.See you all at Christmas.Chrissy and Simon.

I feel it is this hotel atmosphere that Basil Fawlty was hoping to achieve. It has grace without incompetence. The only reason the room is not a five is that the window rattled in the wind, which disturbed our first night. (solved by the placement of a sock) and the bath tap didn't run, so one had to put the plug in and run the shower. Insignificant things in an old building. The lounges are great, the view from our sea facing room was magnificent. The food is superb, the staff are courteous and attentive, and its location is marvellous. It's definitely a place to come to again,

The hotel itself is quite interesting with lots of old features and it felt open to the public to use not just hotel guests. Mostly old style decor but neat and clean. …

Weekend stay. The hotel does have a lovely location although from a bygone era. Our room faced the high street which was noisy at late at night and very early in the morning with delivery lorries. …

The hotel is nice, its location is perfect for the views. The rooms are somewhat dated but it’s part of the whole Victorian type theme! You have a mix of modem/tradition with this hotel. Service at dinner is good but the tables very cluttered. We had a table for 6 for the evening meal but had little room for drinks, plates etc..
