Had Sunday lunch here. Frankly it was sublime. Freshly cooked using quality ingredients, generous portions and very good value in very nice surroundings. Service was really good and attentive and came with a warm welcome. We had a pudding between us as couldn't manage one each. Delicious rhubarb and apple crumble and custard again freshly cooked. Good selection of beers and wines and good value. Sadly don't live locally or would be here every Sunday!

Went for dinner here. We were met with a warm welcome from the proprietor. We did have to wait for our table upon arrival despite booking but the hotel was very busy. The food was tasty on the whole though some dishes could have been improved. The whitebait was very tasty. Good service and generous portions & prices!

A lovely, but too brief, stay at The Ship. Room spacious and comfortable with huge bathroom and shower. Excellent evening meal with great service. Finished with a great breakfast selection ( kippers, salmon, fresh fruit). A fabulous place to stay.

Main bar is too big for the long narrow room. Awkward to get to the bar or past the bar. The seating by the bar area has too many tables and crammed together too close. This creates an unpleasant atmosphere. The stereo sounds rubbish, either upgrade it or don't bother at all. The 3 staff at the main bar are very busy and you struggle to get served at peak time. The Beer was OK and the food was good. I recommend the food and it didn't take too long to arrive.

Very close to beach with view partially obscured by other hotel. Car Park near by in National Trust car park (free to residents). Very popular with locals and tourists so quite noisy. Room clean and adequate though bed somewhat lumpy. Nice bathroom.Staff very friendly especially owner Alun. Breakfast reasonable and well cooked.

The lady behind the bar was nice. But the bar stank of chip fat oil. The web site sells the place as a fresh fish and good quality fresh food restaurant which is what made us make the journey. …

We stayed in Room 6 for 3 nights. It has a huge and comfortable bed. Nice large room and en-suite. It has a great view out of the beach and the church out of the two windows. Breakfast was very good with a lot of options. We had two meals in the restaurant. Sunday lunch which was fantastic and the steak which was cooked to perfection. The staff are very friendly and Alun (The Captain) was very helpful and attentive. Aberdaron is an amazing and relaxing place. We can recommend this place enough.

Bar opens on to street. Small loud crowd gathered at front, no one at back except for pool players at rear. Pleasant enough inside. Ok for a quick drink, not for a whole evening. No idea about the hotel itself and its facilities. This one of the two bars in the town.

I recently stayed at The Ship Hotel and had a fantastic experience. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, meeting all our needs perfectly. The staff members were exceptionally friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special shout-out to Alun, who went above and beyond by sending us our forgotten glasses after we had checked out. This thoughtful gesture truly highlighted the excellent customer service at this hotel. The breakfast provided was delicious and offered a great variety of options, ensuring a perfect start to our days. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend The Ship Hotel to anyone looking for a pleasant and hospitable lodging experience.

I asked the lady at the bar ( not sure if she was the Landlady or not ) about using the Dart Board with my son later in the day. She was lovely and said it was fine for children to be in the games area. …
