The hotel was above our expectations from pretty much every aspect. Taking in consideration the price and the fact it's a Travelodge; I was so surprised. …

Stayed here recently as we were going to a show of the cathedral. Nice and clean room and great stocked bar.We were rudely awakened at 6:00 a.m. by the fire alarms going off, obviously not the hotels fault, it was the fault of some absolute idiotic men who thought it was hilarious to break the glass and set it off. Just hope they were held accountable.

We were coming here for a wedding. We arrived around 11am, and they were able to check us in early as a room was available. We stayed in a Super Room which really was worth the extra for being really quiet, at the end of a corridor on the top floor. All staff we met were friendly, and especially thankful to Daniel for making our unplanned early check-in so smooth. Perfect location for a Chester visit. Would choose again!

Friendly staff and good breakfast variety. Room was clean and bed was comfy. Great central location in Chester. Can easily walk to most major attractions and can also walk to bus/train station as well.

Clean and comfy rooms with a Lavazza coffee machine and also hot chocolate sachets or tea bags. The TV was centrally placed in front of the bed, which I really appreciated as many hotels have it in the corner, so it's awkward to try and sit comfortably facing it. The air temperature control and the shower were easy to use, and the bed was very comfortable.

This Pepper St Travelodge was more central than we expected. Ideal for shopping and walking the city walls. Very good standard of housekeeping and not noisy (it was a busy weekend and our rooms were towards the back of the building). Staff were friendly and helped us find the correct bus-stop. Only drawback was the lack of left luggage space on checkout. The hotel doesn't have a designated room, so you can only leave your luggage by the sofas in the bar/breakfast area. This wasn't unsafe, but one of our cases ended up at the bottom of a huge pile of suitcases and holdalls. This seemed like a daft arrangement for a hotel.

Room was dirty, there were hairs in the bathroom and some bottle corks under the pull out bed. There is No I on site parking and no obvious information about where to park, and no directions from/to the closest car park. …

Our 1st time at this hotel which was right in the centre of Chester, excellent accessibility for my wife and her wheelchair also well placed for myself running the marathon. Our room was large, bright , clean and quiet given its location and finally close to some good restaurants

I made the last minute decision to stay at the travelodge for one night and was pleased with how easy it was to book a room and check in. When I got to my room it looked well maintained and clean. Would stay there again.

Can't fault the location or helpfulness of staff but our room was tired and needed a deep clean. Shocking price for a basic space and WiFi isn't even included. …
